With the Cochlear™ Nucleus® Smart App you can control your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor directly from your compatible mobile device for a personalised hearing experience.
With the Nucleus Smart App, you can:
- Change programs on your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor and activate wireless streaming. Adjust the volume, treble/bass and sensitivity settings (if enabled by your healthcare professional) on your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor
- Adjust the volume of your Cochlear True Wireless™ devices
- Locate your lost Nucleus 7 Sound Processor
- View Nucleus 7 Sound Processor status and battery level
- Track time in spent in speech and number of coil offs
Note: To access the complete functionality of the Nucleus Smart App you will need a Cochlear Account, or you can try the app in Demo Mode.

Not working on ios 17 iphone 15
New iphone 15. Installed app. Worked for a day then stopped and then wanted me to start - pressed start wouldn’t work. Deleted app reinstalled with CI and hearing aid. Worked for a day and stopped again. Very frustrating. It worked ok with my previous iphone 8 and ios 16. App needs to be updated to work properly please. So basically every morning I have to delete app reinstall and match aids. Love the app when it works. I also use the option on my iphone 15 to press the right hand button three times and I do get all the menu options except forward focus which is essential in really noisy environments.

Needs update
The app needs to be updated to provide a "mute" option instead of having to stepdown the volume. The app itself has difficulty connecting to the hearing aid I use for my other ear. I have a brand new Resound hearing aid that I purchased because it's supposed to be the most compatible with the implant, but it regularly has difficulty connecting to the app. From what I can tell, I have the most up-to-date version of the app.

Loosing paring
I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max and since my update both my Cochlear implant and my regular hearing aid both of which are made for iPhone continue to lose pairing and have to be repaired. I hope they have an update either by iPhone or the Nucleus app that will help fix this.
Random failure to connect to CI
Current version (12/8/2024) frequently fails randomly to connect with one of two cochlear implants; it can be either of the CIs. The immediate solution is to shut down/restart the iphone (16 pro), which is time consuming and annoying. I have downloaded updated app multiple times. Please correct this problem.

Hi! I have been checking regularly for a refresh that would fix some issues, and this recent release did just that. I use this app for both my Nucleus 7 and ReSound hearing aid. All is working now! Thank you very much!
