With the Cochlear™ Nucleus® Smart App you can control your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor directly from your compatible mobile device for a personalised hearing experience.
With the Nucleus Smart App, you can:
- Change programs on your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor and activate wireless streaming. Adjust the volume, treble/bass and sensitivity settings (if enabled by your healthcare professional) on your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor
- Adjust the volume of your Cochlear True Wireless™ devices
- Locate your lost Nucleus 7 Sound Processor
- View Nucleus 7 Sound Processor status and battery level
- Track time in spent in speech and number of coil offs

Note: To access the complete functionality of the Nucleus Smart App you will need a Cochlear Account, or you can try the app in Demo Mode.

The absolute worst

Non stop issues with this app. We aren’t talking about gaming here, we are talking about an app related to a disability. I’m constantly told to restart my phone (latest iPhone), reinstall the app (time consuming). We pay a fortune for our implants and expect better support .

Battery remains at 80%

It seems that the battery percentage is not working on the app. It keeps showing battery at 80% when it has been fully charged and my CI processor battery goes flat just minutes after it showing at 80%. Therefore I am not being warned when my battery is low.

Hearing Tracker not updating

I'm frequently near my child, who wears the processors throughout the day. My phone, with the app running in the background, stays close. Despite regularly opening the app, the hearing tracker updates its stats irregularly. Occasionally, it's a day behind, and on occasions like today, it's been about 36 hours since the last update. Despite this, all other app functions work smoothly, indicating the connection to the processors is stable.

Needs major upgrading

I’m very grateful to even have this feature, but an upgrade and proper revamp of the speed, capabilities, and look of the app is really needed.

A great app, but

Hi, has something changed? Previously I was able to change streaming settings to both my devices simultaneously. I have and still have ‘adjust independently’ off in the system settings and Bilateral control is also off in the Nucleus app. In Control Centre it now shows separate entries for Left and Right for TV Streamer. On iPad as well. I have recent N8s, latest iOS and have re-downloaded the app. I’ve tried turning off/on unified control but no luck. Suggestions? I suspect an iOS update.

Keeps dropping out

I have recently upgraded to Nucleus 8 and was excited to be able to use phone and smart app to control my processors and not have to use the remote accessory. However finding the app regularly saying that it cannot detect my processors, to switch them on and being into range. They are on. Quite problematic as I now have mini mic 2+ and cannot control it easily.

App for kids

My 10yo daughter doesn’t have a phone, it would be good if this app worked with a Apple Watch via family sharing. The feature that we would use regularly is the find my processor, unfortunately once I leave my daughters side it switches off and we don’t have any relevant data to use.

Watch app non-functional

I’ve been happy with this app on my iPhone controlling my N7. I’ve just got an Apple watch series 7 and was looking forward to being able to adjust the N7 without needing to drag my phone out of my pocket, but it doesn’t work. Changes made in the phone app are reflected in realtime in the watch app, but changes made in the watch app don’t show on the phone and they have no effect on the N7, whether Nucleus Smart is open on the iPhone or not. Disappointed.

Good but could be better

Functional app and stable. Processor light settings reset after the processor is off and turned back on. This is unusual as the processor beep settings can be turned off and remain so after the processor off and on again. Audiologist can't rectify this from their end. Empty brown Home Screen that could be better utilised. Sensitivity setting should be named something else and it's really the circle of sound from the processor (Like an archer target). This setting also resets after the processor is on and off, volume remains the same. Decibels would be a nice indicator under live listen or status setting where there is just a green line I'm assuming is the 60-70 decibel speech range

Great but annoying

How do you unlock the volumes to my cochlears? Hello, I founded out how to change it thank you for ur help but the app is 5 stars great!
