Obsidian - Connected Notes

Bin gerade von Obsidian umgestiegen und finde die Möglichkeiten die es bietet super. Einziger Kritikpunkt, ist meiner Meinung nach die Möglichkeit die App mit Face ID abzusichern. Gerade wenn man wirklich alle seine Notizen dort ablegen möchte und sich wie in meinem Fall ein 2nd Brain aufbauen möchte.

Es fehlen grundlegende Funktionen, die man auf MAC oder Windows sonst hat, z.B. Export als PDF oder die Möglichkeit einen existierenden Vault auf dem System zu öffnen. Fast unbrauchbar.

I dislike being a freeloader a lot. I pay for thing such as Inkscape (100 euros) or libre office (~80 euros). I am subscribed to Nebula (~50 per year ... for hosting video), which I don't even use anymore, but I like the competition to Youtube. But paying 120 euros per year for online storage for a text app is outrageous. I simply can't see myself ever financially supporting this otherwise wonderful app. 20 euros or less per year is the amount where I can just comfortably forget about it. And that's besides having to trust Obsidian to not accidentally mess up my data some day, because I likely can't back it up.

Converted hundreds of notes from OneNote many months ago. Daily use on Win10, iPhone 11pro, iPad 10.5, MacMini (via iCloud sync). Sophisticated editor, various plug-ins (wow, thx to this great community!). Never had problems. Some collab features would be nice, though.

Regular black screens not resolved by app restart. Cause unknown. No support for the app, lots of issues on the forum, still nothing changed. That’s a real bummer, cause on the desktop the app is great. Mobile works great, if it works, which you never know if it will.

more detailed error messages would be helpful

Obisidian on my iPad Pro and iPhone Pro Max suddenly doesn’t work anymore. All I see is a black screen. Disabling iCloud for Obsidian doesn’t work either. There seems no solution in sight so its unusable for me now.
