I use this app to manage the hot water for my daikin Atherma heat pump. Setting the schedule is a little awkward as each slot is only “on” you then have to create another slot for “off” this wouldn’t be the end of the world if the time slots were not limited to 4 per day so essentially only 2 slots are available as the other two have to be set to “off”. In all this means I cannot make the most of my cosy heat pump tariff which has 3 off peak slots per day. Why they would limit it to 4 time slots in the app / schedule is beyond me. Daikin please add some additional time slots or change each slot to have both on and off.

Intermittent connection. Doesn’t always connect

Hi , I have a Daikin heat pump and a Daikin AC , app works fine but why can’t it let me schedule half a degree options in the heat pump schedule when I can in the AC schedular. It’s wasting energy and heat having only degree adjustments when I only want half a degree ? Why cann’t the app be written to achieve this ?

For something like a heatpump, to have an app so basic for a big company like Daikin is unacceptable. You can’t even turn off a hot water schedule in the app. You can’t change the comfort or eco water temps. It’s very difficult to integrate with any other systems. If I had the choice again, I would avoid Daikin and go with anyone else. Coasting on a name, while not being competitive in the app and usability front at all. The refresh is terrible too, I can use up my hot water and because the sync time is so slow, and you can’t do it on demand the app will still show there is hot water.

This app gets worse and worse. Now the app shows devices but transmits instructions to unit after several minutes. And why do Daikin think that their heat pumps must be super top security that you have to enter your password every other week? Makes the app totally useless, and makes me regret my purchase

Currently finding the app very poor and not intuitive. Bring back my old heating and hot water app, it wasn’t perfect but much better than this one!

Really good app, great to be able to control the heating/aircon with such ease. But what lets it down is when adjusting the temperature, it keeps jumping back to what it was. For example, if the temperature was set at 20 and you turn it down to say 18, it will jump back up to 20, and can take multiple attempts before it actually stays on 18.

It was easy to set up the app & connect to the home WiFi to control the air-to-water central heating and hot water Altherma heat pump. [@ Nov. 2024] Developers: Please consider including the following additional functionality which other users may also find helpful: - more than only three schedules; - the ability to name these schedules; - the possibility to set target temperatures in the schedules by 1/2 ºC as can be done on the main dial. (Why show a decimal point in the daily schedule graphic?); - add integration to Apple Home App. Thank you.

Great when it works but every few months insists that you log in again. Not easy and wastes your time.
