Nominated for a Golden Geek in the Best Solo Board Game category, Onirim is a card game where you play as a dream walker, lost in a mysterious labyrinth. You must find the dream doors before the dream time runs out, or you will be trapped forever!

Will you wander around the dream chambers hoping that luck will reveal the doors, or will you meticulously explore each room type? Either way, you'll have to avoid the traps of the dreaded nightmares that haunt the labyrinth's corridors.

Onirim is a solitaire card game. You must beat the game by collecting all eight dream doors before you run out of cards. You can get them by playing cards of the same colour for three consecutive turns or by discarding one of your precious Key cards when you draw a Door card. In both cases, you will need to make the best use of the cards you have in your hand while paying attention to the Nightmare cards. These cards are mixed in with the others, and if you draw one, you will be faced with a painful choice.

In addition to single player play, Onirim offers players an intuitive interface, automatic deck management and statistics that measure progress and success.

Onirim includes the following elements:

- The original illustrations of the base game by Philippe Guerin and Élise Plessis, with animations
- A solo game mode
- A detailed interactive turn-by-turn tutorial integrated into the game

Excellent game, excellent app

The only problem is that it is impossible to unlock the first (free) expansion. It is unlocked for free by siging up to their newletter. But entering this gives the message: ‘Oops, Error: No response from server’. It’s such a shame as I’d love to play that expansion. Please developers can you fix this issue!

Hands free shuffling

A great game without the hassle of constant deck shuffling. Three expansions for less than two pounds, a real bargain. Those nightmare cards are still just as annoying!

Love it

A great digital port if the card game. The auto shuffling makes for very quick games. I would like to see the letterboxing on larger phone screens removed and maybe the change to zoom in on cards to fully appreciate the art.

Great game

I love this game. It doesn’t take too much effort to get to grips with the rules but once you have its a great challenging game. Highly recommended.

Needs an update

Used to be a 5 star app, but no longer works on recent hardware and/or software. App no longer opens in portrait on iPhone and often crashes. Given last update was 3 years ago, Asmodee have clearly forgotten about this one

Excellent little card game

Great little strategic card game, brilliant fun in short bursts and always makes me want to have, just one more go. Free too! What’s not to love.

Perfect

I own the card game of this app, and can say that this is as good a play as the physical game. The shuffling and limbo features help play flow and quick and there are lots of expansions to add. This is a great app version of a brilliant card game. Well done.

Great Game. Needs Update

Don’t get me wrong. This app works fine but needs an update so that it fits the screen of newer devices. The card game is unfortunately out of print at the moment so this phone version makes a great second best!
