Eraser needed

An eraser is needed, going to the annotations tab and find that one mistake I want to delete is time consuming!

What a downgrade after Papers3

Sjocolaatje on

Many gripes: - authors display as first name last name instead of last name, initials. Really??? - import from safari does not work on iOS - cite keys don't work in Word plugin - navigation using keyboard is clunky, shortcuts are silly or don't work on Mac - search panel is not user friendly, cannot type text and then select that to be a search for a title or author etc. Search UI feels like 1985. All in all, very disappointing after being forced to move from Papers3. Now considering moving to Zotero.

Very useful app, but…

Gautam K on

I installed and use the app for my scientific research. It works well, but there are a few things that would massively improve the usability of the app. 1. Add notes to the pdf view, not in the pdf, but on the side, like the references panel. That way, I can nite my thoughts on the article without having to open the pdf in a later stage. 2. Add an undo button to the pdf viewer. I sometimes mark something, write a line. A simple undo would make life easier. 3. Add possibility to move files to folders or lists, from the main panel. Drag and drop would be great. Also, add the hierarchy to the lists in the pdf viewer. 4. Our university has a vpn/portal online. Add the option to use this to download PDFs. Now I bump into the paywalls. Also, add the option to open a page in safari, so I don’t have to manually search for it when I bump into such paywall.

Great tool for a paperless research office

I have worked with papers for years. That was a great app, but synchronisation with iPad Pro was a pain. I like to make written notes on my papers and having them synchronised between MacBook and iPad. That now works perfectly in ReadCube. Now need to convince my employer to take a subscription ...

Great service, very mediocre iPad app

De Baard on

ReadCube is great a service but the iPad app is in need of a thorough update

Horrible mobile experience

AJ Trevisan on

The app is terrible, as opposed to the great desktop experience. In the app the controls are buggy, it is extremely difficult to navigate around and sometimes it's outright impossible to go back to previous pages. ReadCube developers: please fix this! I would love to use your great product on my iPhone.

Best scientific app I can find

Student 3 on

This is the ONLY one that works well. You can search from a good database and download. The user interface is also really easy to use and the tutorial is quick and effective.

Handig

Handige app om al je pdfs in de cloud te organiseren en lezen

Great tool for researchers

nisch91 on

Works very well for organising and reading your literature. The use of institutional proxy's is very convenient. Also works quite well with the Mac app, which has some more features. Synchronisation works fine, most of the time. Sometimes it takes a long time for annotations or lists to sync with the cloud (Pro feature). Making annotations doesn't work very well in the iPad app, because I cannot make notes at the selected pieces of text. Every time I try it the keyboard drops down, hopefully the developers will fix this soon.
