Worst app ever
Can’t open .enl file!!
Can’t use it
I have an EndNote school account, but I can’t login to the app, while I can use the desktop version and online version.
Tried to use the support function, but that doesn’t allow me to send a message.
Unworkable
None the typing aid works (automatic capitalization, suggestions). You can’t copy text fragments into notes, you can’t copy notes or doi’s. PDFs downloaded to device consistently disappear from device.
Deletes PDFs from Endnote account
When opening a PDF in the app and highlighting in it, the app seems to corrupt the file and deletes the PDF from my Endnote account and desktop app. Very disappointing.
Very bad
Very bad quality or services
Disappointed
I was disappointed in the Pad version of Endnote: e.g. no way to do a search on author name or keywords, no option for ‘john doe’ or ‘doe, john'
Not stable
It's not possible to an edit an existing record. If you try to, the app will crash as soon as you select the field you want to edit. The app is only good for checking existing entries.
Endnote for iPad is a good initiative but needs improvement
Endnote is a worldwide used software package for pc, which allows you to sort references of any kind and subsequently use these references for instance in Word.
The makers of Endnote have now adopted their software to use it on the iPad. This is a great intiative and it looks really good, is easy to use and even allows to import your references from your pc library. The biggest problem at this moment is that the software can not read annotations made in the pdf at the pc, and that any notes made in the iPad version do not appear in the pc version once you synchronize. This is a major problem which needs fixing.
