FamiSafe - Location tracker

Not sure about this app…. Seems good but it blocked some apps that I can’t get back and now I can not delete the app.

I researched apps for blocking pornography as my nephew was struggling. FamiSafe appears to be a good option for lots of digital safety. Within the week my nephew had figured out how to get around the app. At the time I worked with customer service and the problem could not be rectified for our needs. I did not receive a refund despite asking, and cancelled my subscription. Fast forward a year and I was charged for another year subscription without notice and knowing full well I had already cancelled. Within hours of noticing the charge I reached out to support and they are refusing a refund. Not only did I not receive the 15 day notice they say is the opportunity to cancel the auto renewal, but I had already cancelled a year ago. I think there is a scam happening with their accounts as there is no ability to delete my credit card information either. It’s bad business and it may work for smaller kids but any youth who are struggling with safe internet use around pornography can easily get around this app. I do not reccomend the product and I am incredibly disappointed with their customer service.

Quand on éteint le téléphone et le rallume l’application ne fonctionne plus. Elle se réinitialise et n’est plus connectée. J’ai supprimé l’application pour essayer de la réinstaller. Incapable et maintenant le téléphone de mon fils est bloqué. On a plus accès à ses paramètres de son profil Apple.

Would love to subscribe but currently on the last day of the trial and I’m not sure I will. I have used my kids phone to test it, googled words from the suspicious words list and sent myself a picture that should have been deemed as inappropriate….0 alerts to my phone. Not super impressed.

As a test, I installed this app on my phone and the jr app on my wife’s. I then proceeded to block all apps which worked well, too well actually. Even after reverting the block no apps ever returned. I tried to revert the setup twice without success. I had to reset and recover her phone from backup. So be careful with this app, backup your phone before installing.

There are constant delays, takes hours and even days to update my child’s location. The whole point why I downloaded this app was to have accurate live location, so it completely useless as a location tracker.

Wasted my hours trying to set this up on iPad, every time I tried its asking me to turn off find my iPhone. I uninstalled the my my iPhone app from iPad but still kept giving the same error.

It’s an expensive fee annually just for it to barely work. You can see browser history only sometimes, it works when it wants to 🙄 it does block the things they aren’t supposed to watch all of the time, but a lot of the features don’t work.

I bought this app, and to complete the settings, I connected my child's iphon se2020 phone to a macbook, and "connected failed" is constantly displayed. at the same time, the charging sign is on ! on the screen phone, that is, the phone and cable are working, the latest version of iOS is installed,. and my question is why should i even use a computer to complete the settings of an app that costs 75$?!!! What if I didn't have a computer at all? why initially you do not warn that without a computer I can not get full access to the settings. I can not use the application in its entirety, the functions are limited! I have never come across such a mess! I demand a refund!

Where do I even start, this app should protect my kids not provide them with stress and anxiety. Their apps get block when they shouldn’t, when they have downtime they can keep playing. Updates cause extreme issues of flicking screens and more mess. I requested a refund, yearly plan to save me money, I spent more time troubleshooting this garbage then what the savings would have been if I signed up for a 10 year plan
