Play-Fi

Normally I wouldn’t throw shade at things like this just because I have had a few issues but in my case it is more like it has only worked properly a couple of times. What is really annoying is the constant dropping of the amp which has been connected disconnected uninstalled reinstalled updated finally get it working again and it forgets everything overnight and then when you go to re-discover your device it shows some samsung device I have never owned. F.F.S.! Of all the devices I have on my home network this one is never ending trouble and on the website there is no “support” tab but luckily a list of manufacturers who are using this technology (?) so I can avoid buying another product with this complete waste of space.

The core functionality is good, but the lack of integration with Sri I and Homekit make it less useful than it could be

I have a set of Play-fi speakers. These sound great, but have constant connection issues and do not work with most audios sources (Apple Music) making them useless. Worst purchase ever.

After update songs stop at 4 seconds just like the Onkyo Play-Fi app. Please roll back the update.

I have the SVS wireless speakers. This app constantly disconnects I constantly have to unplug the speakers constantly have to reinstall this software and in one to two days it never connects. I have no idea what else to do. Everything is up-to-date firmware on the router. Everything else works in the house. Just these two items seem to have a conflict.

Terribly undependable, inconsistent, and … dare I say, “clunky!” Like it came over on the Mayflower. It’s a “wannabe,” at best! Not for audiophiles, or those of us who actually value a great listening experience! Save yourself the frustration of even going down it’s wretched path!!

Constantly looses connection

I have been “using” this app for years to connect to my Polk speakers. Anything can cause this app to stop working, a notification, a text, etc. Then most of the time the app won’t reconnect even after a complete shut down or removing the app. It doesn’t grab updates from my Apple Music app. If I add songs or update my playlist Play-Fi doesn’t see the music. I don’t know if there are similar apps out there for me to use but I will be researching.

thats it… just integrate apple music.

Constantly having to start the process of pairing the iPad and speaker. My older iPad won’t pair with the PlayFi speaker anymore.
