Breakthrough DTS Play-Fi(R) technology powers simple, great-sounding whole-home wireless audio systems for smartphones and tablets. You can stream your favorite tunes over Wi-Fi right from the Play-Fi app to speakers from DTS Play-Fi product partners. It's a huge step up from Bluetooth - the audio quality and reliability are outstanding, and you can enjoy music from your phone in one room, or all your rooms.
The "Hi-Fi over Wi-Fi" listening experience is just a touch away, thanks to this handy app. Choose a speaker, choose a song, and your favorite tunes are streaming all through the house.
The app offers built-in streaming options: stream from worldwide music services; use AM/FM and Internet radio, connect to DLNA servers, or play anything from your device's music library, including your iTunes playlists. The app automatically organizes and indexes the music for you.
The app also handles set-up for your speakers, and gives you full control of volume and speaker selection. Choose one, set up speaker groups, or stream to all of them at once. Manage speaker groups for Spotify Connect, too.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have a Play-Fi product from Polk Audio, Definitive Technology or Phorus, please search for and download the custom Play-Fi app for your audio brand.
Please also note that the Play-Fi app is companion software to audio products enabled with Play-Fi technology. It is not intended as a stand-alone audio player.

Stay away!
My Audiolab a6000 Play is a wonderful amplifier, but the Play-Fi app makes me want to throw it out of the window.
The play fi app has constant crashes and needs to reconnect for the slightest reason. Changing playlist in the app using (Tidal) and you need to reconnect with the amp.
Music is about enjoyment and getting ideas on what to play next. But you are more or less locked in the playlist you are playing. Beeing spontanious and change, well that is a mood killer. 30 to 45 sec of waiting to reconnect.
Starting the amp and getting it on the nework, well, go and make some coffe or you risk jumping from the balcony out of frustration.
Please PlayFi, implement Tidal Connect so we can use the great interface of Tidal instead of 1/10 of the functionality you have implemented from Tidal in the Play-Fi app.
Please focus on bringing other benefits with the Play-Fi app.
Like great sound quilty, upscaling, stability etc. Don´t mess with the playlists and 3rd party apps interface. Let Spotify, Tidal and so on make that part. You focus on the sound quality and stability, multiroom, home cinema etc.
Why force us, poor users, to use something we don´t want? Tidal as is excellent, but Tidal in Play-fi is awful!
4 years later and it crashes all the time
I’m surprised if this app manages to play 3 songs in a row with crashing. And yeah, it also crashes my Wi-Fi sometimes, need to reconnect to the router. It’s 2022 and it shouldn’t be so hard to get it right. Is there any other app to use? I got Audiolab 6000N
Almost there...
Great for music! The last star will light up when it plays MQA.
Inte kul ...
Har inte lyckats spela upp en låt än utan att det hackar och håller på.
Det blir att fortsätta använda iTunes och AppleTV.
