Pure Acid is a top quality bassline synthesizer and drum machine in one app! Inspired by classic hardware bassline synthesizers and rhythm machines, which changed musical world back in 80's, like the legendary TB-303 synthesizer, TR-808 / 707 / 909 rhythm boxes and their numerous replicas, Pure Acid is designed to bring back the feeling of retro analog gear in every detail in terms of sound, as well as to provide new functions previously unavailable in the original devices to make your music creation workflow fast and fun! A large number of factory preset patterns will immerse you into an exciting world of Acid House, Techno, Hardcore and Big Beat music genres, which will inspire you to create your own basslines and rhythms for your compositions!

You can use Pure Acid app as a ready-to-go realtime musical instrument (groove box) in your jam sessions together with Ableton Link to synchronize it with the rest of your music gear. Its bassline editing system and randomization options will be handy to create unique groovy basslines easily. Realtime master effects with XY-pad controls can add expression to your live performance. You can also use Pure Acid with AudioBus, AUM or other IAA-supporting apps to create complex and interesting sound setups.

Drums Section:

• 16 independent drum parts
• 35 different classic drum sounds with ability to tune your own drum kit
• each drum part sound has its own parameters: Tune, Decay, Attack/Snap/Color, FX A send, FX B send, Boost, Pan, Level
• up to 12 drum patterns and 4 drum fill patterns per preset
• 16 steps per each drum pattern, with ability to add 16 "backbeat" steps between main steps (32 steps per drum pattern in total)
• patterns can be chained together to create more complex patterns
• Swing and Flam features
• Total Accent part with adjustable total accent value can give you ability to "highlight" specific steps in your drum pattern

A true great

Absolute magic. Easy to operate and understand yet all the features you could possibly want. The TB 303 AND the Drums sound fantastic. It’s a sheer joy. Totally brilliant.

Loving the alien

I don’t like much acid music, or the genre. However, I am loving this app. Why would I buy an app for music I don’t like? Because the bass part creation tools are right up my street. Despite not having a natural affinity for the sounds, those provide are enormous fun to play with. Also, now Midi out has been added, the sonic possibilities are vast. If possible, it would be great to add some analog/ acoustic kits.

Puts the Oh! In 303

Remember Rebirth? This is as good. Sounds proper, super easy to use, and get a groove on. Thankfully the sequencer is *much* less difficult to use than on the real thing, but still allows for the seemingly random magic of the original sequencer. Works well as a standalone app, or in something like NanoStudio II as a plug-in. If you like that 303 sound then this is the app for you. Even if you don’t, the sheer fun of using this app might convert you! It’s that good.

Very easy to use and sounds great off the bat. A lot of very useful features like AUv3, multi outs and great effects. Still a relatively new app but already a stone cold classic.

please fix fx

if i apply fx a to a snare drum in drum parameters and then go to drum output fx a to adjust amount,the effect is applied to all drums. other then that,this isva kewl app. thanks for making.

This app sounds amazing. The bass synth is as close to a 303 as I’ve heard, anywhere. Any doubters can check out the demos on YouTube. I just have one request. The ability to quickly randomise and evolve the drum pattern, in a similar way we can with the bass pattern. Excellent, excellent job, Jim. 👍
