Can’t even do extremely basic things like send photos and videos easily
It boggles my mind how this app has such a high rating. Maybe it’s because of the service it allows people to offer as opposed to the app itself, because the app it just absolutely terrible.
There are so many terrible things about this, but what prompted me to write this review today was because it doesn’t allow you to paste a password!! What?!?!! I have never ever come across this in my life. It basically heavily encourages people to use much less secure passwords, why would you possibly want to do that?
In addition, sending photos and videos in this app is just absolutely trash. For some bizarre reason audio for videos plays out of my phone even if I’m using headphones. You can’t skip through videos. You can’t cut down videos before you send. You can’t send multiple ones. It’s just really poor for sending media which is obviously such an important part of the app.
Dog sitting
I have Natalie looking after my dogs & cat, and she is doing a wonderful job, I get so many pictures every day and a full up date, one of my dogs does take to everyone but she is loving Natalie , so pleased we have got her and this is the first time we have not left them with a non family member. Thanks so much Natalie
App is fine but calendars unreliable
I downloaded this app a few days ago in the hope that I’d find someone lovely to look after my dog whilst we went away for a week. It will be the first time we’ve left her so i am already nervous. So far I’ve contacted 4 people who’s calendars were showing that they were available for the dates we are looking to go and all 4 have come back saying that they were already booked (some through their own business). I’ve given up with this app now as people who are showing as being available clearly aren’t.
Rover is fab
We have quite an anxious dog and have had no trouble finding dogsitters to look after her super well and help her feel reassured whilst we are away - so much better for our pup who would be miserable in kennels! Highly recommend x
Online features missing on the app.
Handy having an app but I find that using the internet browser allows you to save favourites by clicking the heart next to their profile and there's a dashboard to see them all.
Features I’d like to see in the app:
- Add to favourites and a dashboard
- Search for specific sitters if you know their name (using the same dates, you get different sitters results in the app to online so would be great to be able to save a favourite but you can’t as they only appear in the app and you can’t save favourites in the app)
- Choose view by: distance, price, number of reviews, numbers of stars etc
- Being able to contact a sitter without needing to book a date. Important if you’d like to ask some questions and meet them in person before you book them for the first time.
Very professional and easy to use
From a sitter/walker perspective i find this app incredibly professional and easy to use. I especially appreciate the features used to protect personal details such as the Rover numbers and prompts for messages to and from owners. Definitely helping me grow my clientele!
The concept is good app is glitchy
The concept is really good but the app needs more work as it constantly glitches and fails to load
