NEEDS MORE SAFETY FEATURES!!
I get so many random messages and a lot of them look so suspicious. It makes me scared to take a lot of bookings because there’s little to no security features when it comes to checking if the “pet owners” are actually pet owners. I’m giving one star because it takes one person for companies to actually include a feature like this. Please actually do something about this because this app can be very dangerous for someone who just wants to make extra money and disregards suspicious behavior and activity!!! So, that’s why I’m giving 1 star
Bad calendar info, non responsive sitters
Half the time, the Rover listed sitters are unavailable even though their calendars were recently updated. The other half, the sitter doesn’t respond. I hate Rover because of this. I am actively searching for another solution so I never have to rely on them again.
90% of my time is spent writing to sitters whose calendar says they’re available but they’re not.
Trustworthy
When finding someone to care for your furbaby or other pet family member, trustworthiness is one of the most important characteristics one looks for. River prescient and does background checks on all sitters, provides caregivers tips for safe and successful service, encourages meet and greets before booking, offers a way to safely communicate in app, and encourages sitters to send photos to pet parents so they can have peace of mind
Glitchy app
I’ve been a rover walker for years and I absolutely adore my pets and pet parents! However, I cannot stand the Rover app. I have always had issues with it being glitchy and not loading, but ever since I got the iPhone 15 pro the app has been a complete nightmare. Cards aren’t sending, my phone keeps crashing, one time I had two report cards start for the same walk, it’s horrible. I’ve had to call Rover Support multiple times. My app is up to date, so I’m not sure why it’s malfunctioning so terribly.
Justice for Goose
As a regular Rover user and sitter I’m sad to say I will never support this platform again and I will advice family and friends to never use this platform. A dog sitter in Houston Texas under the name Gabriela Masak stuffed many dogs in her shed because she didn’t want to care for them meanwhile her dogs were inside in the AC. The dogs in the shed died. To read more about this story search “Houston, TX Rover Dogsitter Gabriela Masak”. This is absolutely not okay and this family deserves justice.
Rover let’s ANYONE watch your pet for quick cash!
Would you let anyone from tinder watch your kid? Why not?. Google the REAL stories about all of the recently lost and killed pets while in the care of rover “vetted” sitters. Then google how much rover is worth. Then google what Rover didn’t do to fix anything even though it’s all been reported. Its despicable. Rover doesn’t care about your dogs or their dog sitters, they care about their 20% 🤮 #JUSTICEFORGOOSE
Love it
It’s been 5 years now using rover. The app is very user friendly, tech support is awesome. This is the app you need.
I haven’t been able to even get started.
I can’t say much for this app considering I haven’t been able to get past making my account, I was almost finished setting up my act to be able to take care of pets but it will not let me click on the safety quiz. I have tried switching devices, deleting and redownloading the app, nothing has worked. I tried getting help with their “in app support” but I ended with nothing.
It’s great but my trip was postponed and I don’t know how to cancel my pet sitting
I need to cancel unfortunately my hotel was overbooked but I’ll defin use this rover in future trips I don’t see where there’s a cancel button on this app
All I get are Scams
This app is terrible. As someone who does dog walking and sitting with other services, Rover is the absolute worst. It is not user friendly. And I wonder if they even screen the people that use the app. I keep getting the same scam over and over again saying they are trying to book for their uncle that is overseas and to contact his number directly. I haven’t gotten any legitimate jobs from this app. The customer service is also very unhelpful.
