RSA Authenticator (SecurID) Reviews
Sudden interface change, does not work anymore, trackers
Suddenly the interface was completely changed. Now there are 3 instead of 1 tokens? Called “pin 1”, “token 2” and “token 3”? (Why pin vs token? Why 3 now?)
Also now officially Google analytics was added into the app. Given that this app should be somewhat isolated given the sensitive nature of the data, why add this? Measure the “engagement” of a 2FA app?
Once again disappointing news from RSA.. :/
Add ability as a time sensitive alert. When phone is in do not disturb mode, you don’t see push notifications come thru. Allow feature for time sensitive alerts which would always allow the push notification to come thru even when on dnd.
Outstanding app - provides a great authentication experience!
Pleasure to use!
App works as it should, but could be better…
Is there anyway to enhance Apple Watch notifications so users can do code matching right from their Apple Watch?
Previously I was able to authenticate by tapping “approve” but ever since my organization switched to “code matching”, I can no longer authenticate from my Apple Watch. I have to use my phone. I’d be willing to update this review to 5 stars if the devs are able to get that implemented :)
Additionally I notice a slight delay at times when waiting for the challenge to show on my phone, up to 20 seconds at times. It doesn’t seem like long but when you’re sitting at a login screen waiting for that push notification to come through so you can get in, it feels like it takes longer than it should. This only happens about 10% of the time. At first I figured it might’ve been the work WiFi, but I’ve experience this over mobile data & other WiFi’s as well.
Backup
It doesn’t offer a method to backup the RSA and transfer to the new device.
It works, but a big caveat
The app is intuitive and seems to function fine. Unless I'm missing something, however, the Cloud Authentication Portal allows for 30 identity sources, or domains in my case, but this app only allows for a maximum of 10 CAS credentials. How can I protect 30 domains with MFA when the app maxes out 20 shy?
