SBB Mobile: your personal travel companion for public transport.

Want to know ahead of time if your train will arrive on time? Want to have quicker access to your ticket during ticket inspection? Want to be able to find your way better at the station and have reliable map information? We have good news for you! SBB Mobile can do it all. And much more.

The heart of the app is the new navigation bar with the following menu points and content.

Plan
• Plan your journey with a simple timetable search via the touch timetable or use your current position as the origin or destination, locating it on the map.
• Buy your ticket for the whole of Switzerland in just two clicks. Your travelcards on the SwissPass are applied.
• Travel particularly affordably with supersaver tickets or Saver Day Passes.

Trips
• Save your trip and we will provide you with all the information you need during your journey under ‘Single Trips’: everything from departure and arrival times, platform information and service disruptions to train formations and walking routes.
• Set up your personal commuter route under ‘Commuting’ and receive push notifications about rail service disruptions.
• The app accompanies you from door to door as you travel and you will receive information about delays, disruption and interchange times via push notification.

EasyRide
• Check in, hop on and head off – across the entire GA Travelcard network.
• EasyRide calculates the right ticket for your journey on the basis of the routes you travelled and charges you the relevant amount subsequently.

Tickets & Travelcards
• Show your public transport travelcards digitally with SwissPass Mobile.
• It also gives you an overview of your valid and expired tickets and travelcards on the SwissPass.

Shop & Services
• Buy regional transport tickets and Day Passes for the GA Travelcard area of validity quickly and easily without searching the timetable.
• In the ‘Services’ section, you can find lots of useful links about travel.

What permissions does SBB Mobile need and why?

Location
For connections from your current location, the GPS function must be activated so that SBB Mobile can find the nearest stop. This also applies if you want to have the nearest stop displayed in the timetable.

Calendar and e-mail
You can save connections in your own calendar and send them by e-mail (to friends, an external calendar). SBB Mobile requires read and write permissions to be able to import your desired connection into the calendar.

Access to the camera
SBB Mobile requires access to your camera to take pictures directly in the app for your personalised touch timetable.

Internet access
SBB Mobile requires internet access to search the timetable as well as for ticket purchases.

Memory
To support offline functions, e.g. station/stop list, connections (history) and purchased tickets, SBB Mobile requires access to your device’s memory (saving app-specific settings).

Abbruch der App im Ausland

Leider kann man neuerdings die App in Deutschland nicht mehr aufrufen. Sie wird automatisch geschlossen. Ist schon etwas Strange, da man heutzutage ja grenzübergreifend reist und natürlich auch internationale Strecken recherchieren möchte.

"EasyMoney" für die SBB statt "EasyRide"

App meist ausreichend, aber manchmal startet man eine EasyRide-Reise, das EasyRide-Billet wird angezeigt und dann will man es eine halbe Stunde später bei der Kontrolle vorzeigen und ohne Fehlermeldung oder Hinweis ist auf einmal alles weg. So kann man als SBB natürlich auch schnell 100CHF verdienen, wenn der Schaffner die bisherigen EasyRide-Fahrten am gleichen Tag und das Velo-Billet mit dem Hinweis abtut, man habe sicher vorsätzlich versucht, ohne gültiges Billet zu reisen. Finger weg von dem neumodischen Gedöns und lieber altbacken Ticket lösen. Dann braucht die App auch nicht mehr komplette GPS-Überwachungsrechte.

Feature Umsteigezeit fehlt

Bis vor kurzem 5 Sterne, neu nicht mehr. Ich nutze die App täglich zum Pendeln mit Halbtax Plus. Seit kurzem kann ich meine Standardverbindung (mit relativ langer Umsteiger) nicht mehr via App buchen, da mir der Algorithmus nur eine „bessere“ aber teurere Verbindung mit kürzerer Umsteigezeit anzeigt. Bitte entweder die Option zum individuellen Anpassen der Umsteigezeit bereitstellen (analog sbb.ch), oder gleich Erlauben, dass Pendler Ihre Verbindung selbst konfigurieren können. Die Investition in das an Sich tolle Halbtax plus Abo in Verbindung mit Ticketkauf via App wird sonst im Nutzwert stark eingeschränkt.

Incapable to take manual location

Well When people want to plan in advance they would want to enter location manually. The feature to enter location manually is not possible in this app. It is such a simple feature !

Leider ist eine Tageskarte nur in der App erwerbbar, wenns in der aktuellen Zone ist. Weitere Zonen können nicht hinzugefügt werden. Sehr schade.

EasyRide Funktion berechnet teurere Preise als am Automaten

Nach monatelanger Nutzung ist mir aufgefallen, dass mir im Kreis Zürich für mehrere Fahrten innerhalb von 24h statt einem 24h Ticket zwei Tagestickets berechnet werden. In Summe macht das bei drei Zonen eine Teuerung gegenüber dem 24h Billet vom Automaten von knapp 60% aus. Blind vertrauen sollte man dieser Funktion nicht. Laut Support kann man keine 24h Tickets über EasyRide kaufen weshalb stattdessen zwei Tagestickets abgerechnet werden. Danke SBB.

Disappointing

I’m really not happy about the app needing to always have access to my location. All my other apps are ok to have access only while being used.

Login und Nutzung nicht möglich

Ich habe die App geladen um meine Tickets dort abzurufen. Nach der Installation habe ich die Cookies abgelehnt, leider wurde mir dabei nicht gesagt, dass diese benötigt werden um sich einzuloggen. Beim Verweis darauf im Login Bereich existiert nicht die Möglichkeit sie erneut zu akzeptieren. Man kann die Seite im Browser öffnen und dort die Cookies akzeptieren, dies hat jedoch keinen Einfluss auf die App. Auch nach Reinstallation hat sich nichts geändert. Daher ist die App für mich komplett nutzlos.

Registrierung schlägt bereits fehl.

Leider ist es nicht einmal möglich, sich zu registrieren. „Da ein unerwarteter Fehler“ Auftritt. Schade
