Amazing and insightful

Easygoing scientific knowledge for everyone

Muy bueno. Sólo una pequeña pega.

Sí, muy bueno, me sirve para tenerme al día de las ciencias. Que no son de mi especialidad. Y soy suscriptor desde 1968! La única pega: está políticamente escorado por el pensamiento único actual (feminismo, ecologismo) etc.

Terrible layout for such price...

I happily subscribed to SA, attracted not only on its contents, but it older design... Now I've had a very bad surprise seeing such childish and mediocre layout... not only it's ugly, unbalanced and unpleasant to read, but it uses unstyled typography, making reading a daunting task. As other reader said, it's just like reading a very bad web page right from the 90's, but paying a subscription more expensive than other better interactive magazines for iPad.

What seemed to be a great improvement is the ability to get definition and translation of any word.

A step back

I do not like the new version. SA stated that "The latest version of the App will enable faster download times" but it has been at the expense of the quality. The interactive contain (which I liked so much) has been unnecessarily simplified being substituted by rough attachments with very poor resolution. All the magazine has now a web look, which in my understanding is a wasting of the iPad resources. I loved the previous app, that I preferred to a pdf, but I prefer a pdf to this new version which do not adds any value. I am sorry, I will not renew my subscription

Fraud

They stated as an offer Print + iPad access for $44, but they denied iPad access unless I pay an additional amount of $35. I signed their form with the above mentioned offer and was charged $44, but after a lot of complaints due to the lack of iPad acces Got only a $40.33 refund. Be careful with them.

Great

Since I was reader of SA this was one of the best upgrades. Thanks a million trees sure be grateful
