Expensive item with additional annual cost for full access. Has download error messages for tracks, keeps disconnecting mid session, vibrations don’t work and will not play downloaded tracks or connect during travel use when no Wi-Fi is available. Supposed to help alleviate stress and anxiety but induces it! Sadly not fit for purpose. Very disappointed

I’ve had my Sensate for over a year now. Whilst I agree they could have deigned a more stylish pebble it works well and does what it promised. The app on the other hand is disappointing. The music to sync with your Sensate is pretty basic and not many choices. You get sick of it after a while. I thought if you paid for premium you’d maybe get much more but after the free trial there’s still not much. The premium stuff isn’t very premium and you only get a little more than you do without a premium subscription. It has potential but they haven’t done much with it.

I love my Sensate device and it has really helped with my anxiety but the app just will not let me update my device to the latest firmware. When I try to do this it just doesn’t progress no matter how long I leave it. I am also limited to just one track/ meditation at the moment because when I try to use other tracks that I have previously downloaded, it states that it needs to transfer the file across but once again it doesn’t progress no matter how long I leave it. I fear my pebble will soon be an expensive paper-weight as it is gradually becoming useless due to this software. :(

Just trying my new Sensate Surprised after purchasing there are only 13 free sessions listed? Seems like it’s expected to purchase the PLUS collection?

I purchased the plus subscription with my device directly from Sensate and wish I had done it through the App Store instead! You have to email them when you get the device for a redemption code to access the Plus part of the App. Took them days to respond and then they said my email went in their spam folder?! Why get customers to email you then? Why n it send the code after purchase? Anyway it got worse. Finally got the code and it took me 11 attempts to get the app to recognise it, after entering it kept freezing. Better to buy the device and then buy the over-priced Plus subscription through the App Store. The device itself is great, but they feel like a start up which is not at all providing a good user experience so you need the device to calm down after dealing with them! Ironic?!

I have only had my sensate a few days so I cannot comment on its longer term impact although I do feel relaxation after each session. I found customer services to be very proactive and helpful when there was a query about my delivery address. Delivery was very fast despite receiving an email saying they were experiencing longer than normal delivery. I have to agree with the comments about the plus subscription and the app. It is disappointing for the plus to have such a high price given the cost of the device. I am doing the free month trial of plus, and I do see a much greater choice of tracks and lengths compared to the sparse free offering. The app design is poor - for the price i would expect functionality such as the ability to favourite tracks, set up a little playlist, order and filter tracks by theme/length/date added, see new tracks in their own section, and a tracker of how many times I have used the device (sensate, look at the functionality of the Balance app which is the same price - this is what I would expect please!). I have high hopes for the device having done my own research into polyvagal theory, I just encourage sensate to invest in the app to improve the look, feel and use.

I have only got it since early December 2023, i feel it does calm me. In term of the plus sensate i do not feel i need to renew after a year as the free tracks is already good enough for me. Overall, its worth to invest for your mind and health.

Spent 200 quid on a vibrating pebble device that now has added on a subscription service for a few extra tracks. Waited for 2 years to have some tracks added after that amount of money spent, and when they are, it’s behind a paywall. Also, the app sometimes doesn’t even work. I used to love this thing so much, all I wanted was a few extra free tracks. It’s disgraceful.

The device and meditations are relatively good, but everything else is frustrating and not worth it. Extremely poor UI, poor external comms (weren’t transparent about roadmap or pricing ahead of time), hugely over-priced subscription (which I’m using as I’ve got a free year, and do like the meditations, but wouldn’t pay for at that price - and I’m not at all against paying for subscriptions). Now they’ve started abusing push notifications to spam invites to Facebook events as well - it’s just a big mess and not what I’d expect for a wellness app with a premium price tag.
