Great app for touring O’ahu. I started in Waikiki and was very confused about where the start exactly was. It would be great if the start could have an address. Once I got out of Waikiki it was very easy to use, the gps directions were easy, the information and stops were great.
We purchased the Road to Hana as a start and were so impressed that in Hawaii (Big Island) we purchased the complete bundle. I can’t recommend this product more highly; it is awesome. A great guide if you’re curious and want to learn during your travels and the GPS linkage is rock solid even when out of mobile coverage. My only question is when are more guides across the world going to be available…. Please!
First timers in the USA, driving on the “wrong” side of the road and we had no internet connectivity. Despite this felt well supported with the Shaka app. We downloaded the app and purchases beforehand. We enjoyed special spots, and felt our experience were as good, but cheaper, than exploring with bigger groups. A good tool if you want independence as a tourist. Best to enjoy with a vehicle that has Bluetooth or “car play”.

We used the Shaka app to do a self-drive tour of Oahu. It allowed us to go at our own place, stop at places of interest and see some amazing sites. A favourite was seeing turtles on the beach
Doing a Shaka guided self drive tour was way better than going on a tour bus! We did the grand circle island tour, the app gives you plenty of heads up for potential places to stop. Driving along were given plenty of information on the area & attractions. Make sure you go on this tour with an empty stomach as it have a lot of places to stop for food!
Used this app when we rented a car in Waikiki, we chose the north shore tour and it was such an incredible journey! The info we got from the guide was great, overall a well worth it purchase! Mahalo!
