London Victoria Station
Good day! My husband and I had prearranged to rent a car in London and went to pick it up at Victoria station on October 27, 2023, at 10:30 am. The employee, whose name we didn't know, asked for the documents under whose name the rental was made. Driver's license, ID, and the card used for payment. It slightly confused me that they took our card, as we had already paid for the rental in advance, and the employee not only looked at the card number and the name on the front, but also the back where the card's expiration date and CVC are located. We asked why they took our card, and the employee jokingly said they wanted to buy themselves a jacket. This made me a little suspicious as we didn't receive a direct answer. We asked again, and the employee started saying that he don’t understand what we want from him. We repeated that we wanted to know why he took our card. I speculated that maybe they would attach it to automatically pay fines if we violated any rules while driving the rented car. The employee became irritated and started speaking loudly, saying we could rent nothing and go to another company if we didn't trust him. We tried to explain that we simply wanted to know why he took our card. The employee continued to speak loudly, telling us to go to another service and that he was joking to calm us down. Then he returned our card and said we wouldn't get a car here, and he wouldn't continue talking to us. He told us to go to another company and rent a car there. I believe this is extremely unprofessional behavior. It deeply hurt me and made me cry, and we also wasted a lot of time trying to find another car. I would greatly appreciate it if Sixt took action regarding this employee. Immediately after leaving the counter, we called Sixt, explained the situation, but were told that our rental was canceled because we couldn't provide the necessary documents.
