Inaccurate

edwardp33 on

United States

Cludgy and inaccurate. Sometimes it measures sleep and disrupted sleep. Some time it messers being awake as disruptive. Sometimes one chart shows wakeful states and then the next chart removes them completely. I have stopped trusting any accuracy. I have reinstallled and reconfigured three times and the forth time it is not even collecting data. Now it wants me to click a button on the app to detect sleep as opposed to auto recognizing sleep poorly. I would not call this auto sleep detection. What a rip off.

Great app, but…

First off, it takes me around 2 hours to fall asleep, but it only gives me the option to say it took me up to 1 hour. Secondly, I already knew I was getting trash sleep. I figured it would at least have SOME tips and tricks to improve it. Maybe it never claimed to, I didn’t read the description, but still.

Giving me more information about my sleep apnea

Moira Cat on

First, my suggestion. It would be nice if I could make a note about these noises that I know are snores that the app doesn’t think are snores. As it is I’m keeping a separate diary to refer back to what I learn from sleep watch. This app has allowed me to see in real time my changing condition. I’m starting to snore more. Unfortunately the app does not see my noises as snores. I’ve had very few of the typical loud snores, but I recognize my noises amongst the noises of my CPAP and my dogs. But first of all, I couldn’t even make this suggestion if it wasn’t for the information that SleepWatch was giving me. It even lets me know when I take my CPAP off. The noise of it blowing before shutting off is very clear. I’m very happy to get this look at myself.

Love this app! Great self care tool!

This is a great tool to help monitor sleep patterns and keep track of possible cause for disruption (foods, drinks, activity, and consumption). The only thing I feel that would make this a stellar app is if it had widget feature. Hopefully soon!

Meh

Dum Sim on

Woulda like to know how long and well you slept last night and every night through Sleep Watch? So would I! Say you’re in bed for your night’s rest and sometime later (could be 1/2 hour, could be 2-1/2 hours on…). If you move around at all, the Sleep Watch app won’t recognize the sleep before that movement; it’ll merely start your sleep time from the point you fell back to sleep, ignoring the productive sleep you enjoyed from your first time after hitting the hay. You’re left with a truncated sleep time. Say, 6 hours; not the 8 full hours of sleep accomplished. No…Sleep Watch registers 6-1/2 which is skewed, which for a sleep tracking app, is SCUH-RUED! This app design is faulty and needs a fix of the algorithm STAT!! It is otherwise USELESS! By the way, I’ve already complained to the developers and they respond, “Meh”. My Fitbit watch actually reads pulse, blood oxygenation and respiration and showed last night’s sleep as 8-1/2 hours which gibes with my own experience. Further evidence of efficacy of their instrumentation over Sleep Watch, which I’m keeping ONLY to use as a joke. Updated 8/7/2024 I tried editing the actual sleep time after realizing I had fallen asleep but had not begun to log the app sleep time. The directions for editing the sleep period are (for me after several attempts) IM-POSSIBLE to follow and unnecessarily circuitous. Hey developers: have a little focus group with people OVER the age of 40!

Push notification at 3:50 am???

Beverlynowhere on

United States

As I lay in my bed trying to fall back asleep at 3:50am I received a push notification from the app alerting me that my sleep disruption was higher than normal. As I was almost back to sleep after struggling for hours, this has filled me with a blind rage. Why in the world would an app that is supposed to help you sleep actually try to wake you? I opened the app only to be imminently asked to follow their social media channels, so I can only assume that is more important than creating a product that works or actually helps people… Beware this app will actively disrupt your sleep.

My Needed Scorecard!

slackplanet on

United States

I have severe central sleep apnea, REM behavior disorder, nighttime tachycardia, and sleepwalking. This app keeps a monitor for me to know what happened in my sleep. Records my heart activity for my sleep doc and “sleep disturbances” which tells me to check my sleep camera as to what I did during that time. Whether it was a small amount of movement or a possible harmful event. It’s an investment in my health. For those with any sleep issues- this insightful app is an investment in your health.

The ads on this thing just became obnoxious. I can’t stand to open it anymore.

Deleted before 7 day trial was up

fg59 on

I tried the app because I wanted an app that would start to track sleep by itself rather than only during a schedule like the Apple Watch included sleep app. Also, there were more measure/calculations reported for feedback. I made all the changes to iPhone settings that were explained at various points to maximize functionality and accuracy of reporting. The first couple of nights all went well and the data reported were very close to those reported by the Apple Watch sleep app. Then yesterday it “recorded” me sleeping during a period I was driving my car. I deleted that. Then last night it recorded nothing. It also gave me the highest sleep score on a night I got less than five hours sleep, a lower score than on a nights when I got 6 - 8. The REM and Deep %’s were very similar but obviously more for longer sleep. So how does an inadequate night of sleep get a higher score? I don’t have time for this.
