Great app- but you need to know how it works with Google and Alexa
You need this app to connect your chinese WiFi toys. The app is decent enough, but the tricky part is then to get to use your devices for voice control with Google or Alexa speakers (when such devices are sold as "compatible with". They do turn up in both Google Home and Alexa apps (after linking this app to them) but you get almost no control in those apps for automation. The trick here is to first create a tapping-activated "scene" in "Smart Home" (where you do have full device access). Then, in Google Home you create your voice-triggered automation, where you pick "Adjust home devices", scroll all the way down to the bottom and (hopefully) find your Tuya scenes. Similar for Alexa. This way I could use a (very cheap) WiFi-connected IR transmitter to shout commands to my TV setup and amplifier. Note also that this app is identical to the "Tuya" app. Hardware manuals refer to this or the other app, but if you add your devices to one it won't show up in the other.
