It could be more than perfect if I could order the notes manually (not only by predefined modes title, date)!
Thank you!
I won’t give you money until you integrate with your parent company
I have had a number of note taking programs, and while I won’t spend time talking about what is wrong with them, I do want to celebrate everything about this product that has helped me regain confidence in companies that both offer excellent products and also respect your privacy. Standard Notes is such a product. I enjoy knowing that they cover my information with a cloak of protection, and that I can use the product in similar and familiar ways as other notes programs. They also have a few surprises: self-hosting, daily blogging functionality with ease of use, and importing from programs like Evernote is particularly simple. Thank you, Standard Notes team, for creating a product that is worth the investment.
Standard Notes definitely changed the way I manage my notes and jot down my ideas. I started with the basic features and then explored the self-hosting capability. I haven’t been able to find this combo of features and privacy with any other similar application. It has exceeded all my expectations. The ability to host my notes on my private server provides the peace of mind - it’s not just an app; it’s a game-changer for personal data security.
I have been using this application for several months now. Was looking for an alternative to OneNote and came across this from several recommendations. The security forward thinking of the developers is what initially got me to try this application out. This application has done everything that I would expect out of a modern note applications. Good UI with With their security forward focus, it also gives you the ability to self host as well, which is a huge plus in my book
I have used standard notes before and have tried others but I find my self going back to standardnotes as apple and others notes apps lacked what I wanted from a self hosted perspective . I enjoy the layout and the features of standardnotes and if ur UI kinda person you will like their UI layout.
It took me a little too long to get used to it, and remember how to do little things, but ever since I got the hang of it, I simply haven't come across one single issue. This app could use a nice little cheat sheet, especially for beginners. However, in the folder/tags screen on the iPhone, the far end of long, nested tag names aren't visible, so you have to rely on emojis to select the one you want. I love how it looks on the screen, and how you can drag things to folders or sub-folders. It looks like I'm hooked for life, but they say they will stick to our discounted 5-year price when the time comes. Being owned by Proton is very reassuring, because I coincidentally use every feature Proton has to offer, with great starting discounts, as well. All the top-notch security is just an added bonus. Customer service for SN is out of this world, too. I have practically become friends with one of the representatives, and we chat about ideas and so forth.
Love this note app with one exception; no dark mode. I have RP so my vision in default mode is hard to see in sunlight. I’ve searched for the dark mode or system mode setting without luck. Other than that, I would plunk down $19/yr in a NY minute for the pro plan. Nice work.
