Ride-hailing made easy
Taxi hire at the touch of a button. To book a black cab, just confirm your location, select your destination, track your driver's arrival and then away you go.

Pre-tipping feature

You now have the option to pre-tip drivers when requesting a taxi. Which is great for when you really have to get somewhere, as it increases your chances of a driver accepting your ride.

Driver owned & operated
There’s no fat cats here. Taxiapp is run by drivers for drivers, with all the fare going into your cabbie's pocket. They also enjoy a profit share too.

Booking fee
Unlike other apps, our drivers get 100% of the fare on the meter. To enable us to do this, we do however charge our passengers a booking fee of £3.00 (inc vat).

Pre-book or hail now options
If you’ve got to get to the airport, to a meeting or just home after a night out, you can use Taxiapp to book a cab in advance. Or you can just e-hail whenever you’re ready.

Powered by The Knowledge
Our drivers have to memorise 25,000 London roads to get The Knowledge, you just need to download Taxiapp to get wherever you need to go.

5 & 6 seaters
All licensed black cabs can take five or six passengers, so are perfect for groups. Or very spacious if you’re on your own.

Accessible to all
All Taxiapp cabs are wheelchair accessible and have hearing loops. Assistance dogs are also welcome.

Safety first approach
You can share your trip, so friends and family know you’re en-route and all drivers are fully vetted as part of being a licensed black taxi driver.

Excellent and no corporate leeches

We needed a cab from our VRBO and the app allowed us to book one ahead. No surge pricing and owned by the drivers so they are not paying fees to uberlords! Regular trained London cabbie that didn’t need an app to find the route!

ETA was way off. Charged to cancel

I try to stay loyal to black cabs in London, but the app gives no price estimate and the arrival time went from 7 minutes to 10 then 15 etc. then 17. I understand traffic is bad but I feel deceived by the original ETA. Then was charge 5 GBP to cancel. Guess it’s Uber from now on. Was picked up in 1 minute with a clear price up front.

Only worked once

The rest of the time it would search for a driver, not find one, and then cancel my order. Much easier to flag down a taxi.

Glitchy and slow

Visited London normally living in US, T-Mobil 5G. Slow to find driver and you have to cancel twice for a cancellation to take.

Pass on this app

This app did not work well for me. Often it kept endlessly searched for a driver. Another time the “selected” driver went by me with another fare in the car. Far easier to hail a cab or use Uber.

Not good at all

I tried to use the app in my London hotel and it kept searching for a cab. I just walked down to the curb and flagged a cab in 15 seconds without the service charge. I guess that if I need an app for a car I’ll use Uber & not for a taxi.
