TCB | Read Chinese to Learn

I have used this app for more than two years and would recommend it. I’ve made more than a few errors in learning Mandarin and I took me a while to realise that comprehensible input is the best way to consolidate vocabulary and progress steadily and surely. This app provides engaging and interesting content for all levels, from absolute beginner to native levels. There seems to be a dearth of upper intermediate and advanced level learning materials, but this app has a vast amount of texts for those trying to progress from the intermediate level. I would recommend The Chairman’s Bao to learners of all abilities.

If you are serious about getting the most out of your Chinese studies this is definitely an app to have in your arsenal. Really interesting stories that are short enough to digest without getting overwhelmed. Lots of added features to map your progress, pinyin (If you want it), exercises, grammar points. I really appreciate the effort that is put into producing such a helpful and engaging app.

This is a brilliant app for language learning, easy to navigate, clear and informative. Highly recommend!

Amazing content. Only expend effort on reading, cut out the procrastination. Great customer service. If you have a problem, they get back to you immediately. Worth every penny. 5 Stars Edit: Down to three stars with the new interface. It looks great but the reading experience is much diminished. Small writing and lots of UI. A shame as the content is A1.

I’ve been using TCB for years to learn Chinese and I love the new layout. It’s made it easier to find appropriate lessons and I can now study offline when traveling for work. Keep up the great work!

Really great learning resource I just wish they did full English translations so I could check my comprehension beyond the comprehension tests
