I am using Q1000 for almost 3 weeks now. Most of the features are working fine. It takes like a minute for the app to connect to the phone to check the videos or go to settings. They should improve the app so it connects faster.

Ignore the bad reviews I had my dash cam installed in my wife’s car and set app up and both paired and worked perfectly recommend dash cam and app as with everything needs time for app updates

Multiple issues with the Q1000. App definitely needs a bug update. Issues with multiple customer cars, connectivity issues, taking 1-2 minutes just for a connection to establish. When trying to view/download footage, just keeps loading and nothing happens. App keeps crashing. Main issue is - live feature just stops working. When initially connecting to the camera this feature works. After a few minutes the screen is just blank. Tried multiple phones, updating phones software, firmware update on the camera, resetting camera etc.

This horrendous software looks like it’s from 2003

My U1000 was so expensive when I bought it - £500. I also purchased the thinkware battery pack for parking mode. I particularly wanted this camera because it has cloud functionality but honestly this app is so terrible, it’s nearly impossible to get it to work. Trying to connect to a mobile hotspot and keep a connection is so outrageously difficult and unintuitive - one cannot believe that the developers looked at this and said ‘yes, job done this is great’. The interface and user experience is like something from pre-iOS times. Avoid this company and go with BlackVue. The hardware isn’t as good but at least the software (and specifically cloud fun functionally) actually works. The number of hours I’ve spent trying to get it to connect (and stay connected) to hotspots for remote view etc is embarrassing - and I have a PhD in computer science. The cloud functionality is actually laughable, something they might be fixing with the Q1000 (which isn’t 4K) and a whole new app, but that doesn’t help me with my £700+ investment into this company that’s chosen to make terrible software. Avoid.

Just got hacked thanks to this AVOID

Logged onto the wifi for my cam, it did a couple of downloads and updates and within 5mins I had a notification on my phone that screen record had saved to my photos. I had a look and there was a video saved showing someone (not me) accessing my phone and flicking through till they opened my bank app and not managing to open it. Avoid this or get hacked

Works perfectly

I’ve just installed my F200 Pro camera and the app connected perfectly. No issues with any connections as per some other reviews. My only negative comment would be the app looks quite dated and has very few functions. However, it does everything that is needed just fine.

Should be removed from the App Store

I honestly don’t know how this app even made it to the App Store, the software is completely useless, I’m having the Thinkware dash cam remove, DONT buy a thinkware product. The APP won’t connect due to WiFi not staying connected.
