In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.

The pace of This War of Mine is imposed by the day and night cycle. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout: crafting, trading and taking care of your survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to scavenge through a set of unique locations for items that will help you stay alive.

Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them for longer-term survival. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.

This War of Mine: Anniversary Edition
It's been two years since This War of Mine global release and we're still expanding the experience. This new free DLC, created especially for the Anniversary Edition, adds new characters, new locations to explore, and most importantly - a whole new ending, leading to a different outcome to the game. Particularly poignant right now

I guess the game makers imagined the challenges of life when your country is attacked and your home destroyed. It felt realistic to me when I played it a few years ago and I am about to start playing again. With what is happening right now to people in Ukraine this simulation provides a tiny insight into the day to day experience of people there. Play it, then donate to Médecins Sans Frontières UNICEF or the Red Cross.

Great game until, day 5.

I was enjoying the experience and after gaining the rush of raiding the supermarket. But in the following morning 2 hours into the day the game crashes repeatedly.

Invasive tracking

Why do premium games add so much hostile tracking? Why do you need so much data about me to “share” (sell?) to other companies? The game looks good, but I just can’t get past the tracking.

My own scenario?

Hey I don’t know if you guys are still updating this game but if you are it would be great if you could add a way to make your own scenario, like on the steam version. Even if you couldn’t make your own characters I’d love to be able to choose my own combination of characters. I also hope final cut will be released on mobile 🥺

Credits?

Hello, I’ve loved this game for a long time. Just did updates to play again and finished the first round and stuck in an eternal loop of credits that stop me moving forward. I’ve purchased child and stories. Really disappointed. Am I missing something?

Don’t get

Alright game on its own, barely worked for me as half my screen was pink and had to click things off to the side to play. Not worth it
