"If you've not already played this brilliant, heart-wrenching game, then mobile is as good a place as any to let it completely destroy you." - , 9/10, Pocket Gamer UK

"This War of Mine isn’t exactly “fun,” but it’s definitely a game worth playing." , 9/10, 148apps

"I'm really excited to go home and download 11 bit studios' title on my iPad" , Game Informer

In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.

The pace of This War of Mine is imposed by the day and night cycle. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout: crafting, trading and taking care of your survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to scavenge through a set of unique locations for items that will help you stay alive.

Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them for longer-term survival. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.

This War of Mine: Anniversary Edition
It's been two years since This War of Mine global release and we're still expanding the experience. This new free DLC, created especially for the Anniversary Edition, adds new characters, new locations to explore, and most importantly - a whole new ending, leading to a different outcome to the game. The dilemma though remains the same – how far will you go, to protect the ones you care about?

Key Features:
• Inspired by real-life events
• Control your survivors and manage your shelter
• Craft weapons, alcohol, beds or stoves – anything that helps you survive
• Make decisions - an often unforgiving and emotionally difficult experience
• Randomized world and characters every time you start a new game
• Charcoal-stylized aesthetics to complement the game's theme

This War of Mine experience is now broadened with "The Little Ones" expansion. "The Little Ones" explores the hardships of wartime survival as seen from an entirely new perspective―that of a child. This DLC puts you in charge of a group of adults and children stuck in a besieged city, struggling with basic necessities. TWoM: The Little Ones focuses not only on the reality of enduring war, but also on how even in times of conflict, kids are still kids: they laugh, cry, play, and see the world differently. In addition to thinking about survival, you'll have to summon your inner child to understand how to protect the little ones. Their youth, and their future, are in your hands.

• Experience the biggest expansion to This War of Mine
• Protect innocent children
• Craft toys, play with kids, and be the caretaker they need
• Meet new adult civilians in scenarios with children

PLEASE NOTE: This game is optimized for latest devices. While playing on older devices such as iPhone 4s or iPad 2 you might experience lower frame rates.

Good game, needs update

Duran an on

I have played this game every. Ow and then over the past years. Recently I got an iPhone 15 Pro and apparently the game needs a fix as it has some display issues.

Love this game

This game is brilliant in its own way. Fun and you will want to try it over and over again untill you will get your happy ending. :) One issue with this game playing it on my ipad air 4th gen, there is a purple bar on the side of the screen from about 2cm. This is a bit of a annoying bit. Plus when im clicking on something or someone i need to click a little bit to the side of it. Or else i will click on something or someone else. This is annoying when you are playing. Is there a fix of this problem? If fixed 5 stars

Clever game, emotional draining

DrStrienksel on

It’s a survival game about civilians. You have to balance between scouring for food or supplies, building for security or for comfort, helping neighbours (and possibly getting a reward) or keeping everything to yourself. It’s not the kind of game to be considered “fun”, but in taking care of your group, you will start to feel a bond with them. Started playing on pc but switched to a six year old tablet, runs like a charm. For anyone having difficulties figuring out how the game works: Google the title plus “guide” and you’ll find some accessible material.

Good game but needs bug fixing

Sjeupie on

Played it in the past on the ps4 and I know it is a great game. Purchased it on the ipad now too despite reading reviews on resolution issues and purple bars because I saw an update was issued 4 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the big purple bar on the side and the resolution issue are still there on my ipad, implying that you have to touch the screen about a cm below/beside the item you’re trying to pick. Very annoying after all while; didn’t bother anymore after an hour of playing. Too bad. Hopefully it will be resolved in the future again.

Great game

I love this game. When i first played it i stayed up all night because i was caught up with it. But sometimes its a little boring because the houses dont change much. So a little bit of more variety would be perfect

Beautiful, challenging and though-provoking.

This is a fantastic game; making tough choices in a sometimes uphill struggle to stay alive and, more importantly, dignified. It’s hard, especially in the beginning but the fandom wiki is incredibly detailed and helped me to get to grips with the game. If you enjoy strategy games with elegant graphics then this is easily worth the price, especially with the new extended character set. Buy this game, you won’t regret it.

Just a horrible game

Even ad a reduced price of 2,29 euro i find this game pretty boring and useless.

Unique and hard

Jbil1980 on

I think this is a very unique game. Such a good (depressing) atmosphere, due to the graphics and great music. I liked the gameplay for a while but after a while it feels pretty repetitive and it's pretty hard to survive (after a few tries I survived 33 days). Although I haven't really played enough to match the prize (discount), I Won't ask for a refund because the devs did a great job and have my support.

Pretty good but to expensive.

Erik? Nooit van gehoord.. on

A smart, entertaining game that cost way to much. -2 stars because of the price, crazy that they dear to ask this. But paid it anyway and so far having fun. If the money is no problem, give it it try.

Update not funy
