Description

"If you've not already played this brilliant, heart-wrenching game, then mobile is as good a place as any to let it completely destroy you." - , 9/10, Pocket Gamer UK

"This War of Mine isn’t exactly “fun,” but it’s definitely a game worth playing." , 9/10, 148apps

"I'm really excited to go home and download 11 bit studios' title on my iPad" , Game Informer

In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.

The pace of This War of Mine is imposed by the day and night cycle. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout: crafting, trading and taking care of your survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to scavenge through a set of unique locations for items that will help you stay alive.

Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them for longer-term survival. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.

This War of Mine: Anniversary Edition
It's been two years since This War of Mine global release and we're still expanding the experience. This new free DLC, created especially for the Anniversary Edition, adds new characters, new locations to explore, and most importantly - a whole new ending, leading to a different outcome to the game. The dilemma though remains the same – how far will you go, to protect the ones you care about?

Key Features:
• Inspired by real-life events
• Control your survivors and manage your shelter
• Craft weapons, alcohol, beds or stoves – anything that helps you survive
• Make decisions - an often unforgiving and emotionally difficult experience
• Randomized world and characters every time you start a new game
• Charcoal-stylized aesthetics to complement the game's theme

This War of Mine experience is now broadened with "The Little Ones" expansion. "The Little Ones" explores the hardships of wartime survival as seen from an entirely new perspective―that of a child. This DLC puts you in charge of a group of adults and children stuck in a besieged city, struggling with basic necessities. TWoM: The Little Ones focuses not only on the reality of enduring war, but also on how even in times of conflict, kids are still kids: they laugh, cry, play, and see the world differently. In addition to thinking about survival, you'll have to summon your inner child to understand how to protect the little ones. Their youth, and their future, are in your hands.

• Experience the biggest expansion to This War of Mine
• Protect innocent children
• Craft toys, play with kids, and be the caretaker they need
• Meet new adult civilians in scenarios with children

Screen issue on iPhone 15 pro

olvrjck1994 on

There is an issue on my iPhone 15 pro where a strip of the screen on the right hand side is constantly flashing pink. This takes up about 20% of the screen area. The contents of the game are then squashed into the remaining space. Currently unplayable.

Love this game but..

M0364 on

Love this game but annoyed I can’t choose the people to play with like you could in Console or pc also this game could do we an update

Alluringly addictive

cornconsumer01 on

Automatically, you are sunk into the personification of the characters: you care for them, you feel sympathy for them, you try your hardest to ensure they’re fed and safe. The game wrenches you inside out. You feel extreme guilt towards stealing supplies from those who direly need it— even more than you, for the exchange of surviving another day, or feeding the little girl who glues with your group. Not for the lighthearted, but fantastic game. Opens your eyes to reality of humanity.

Great game… bad bugs

Neb789 on

Love the game but the Hotel locations is bugged to make the survivors depressed when you steal from the murderers there? Please fix.

Best game ever!

I absolutely love this game and have been playing it for over a year. Please can the developers create another one like it with a different storyline? I would defo purchase it if they did. Nothing quite like this in the App Store. Amazing graphics and storyline and it changes every time you start the game again. Brilliant!

Wow

I don’t normally buy games outright but I’d heard some great things about this series it was worth every pennies and then done, best game I’ve played in 2020/2021

Screen fit

Jamieladc on

Good game but needs updating so the graphics for the screen on Iphone 13 Pro Max instead of leaving a huge pink block on one side.

Good, but not optimised for iPhone 13

HowserStoneyboy on

Good concept, but you have to press the screen about a centimetre to the right of where you want the character to go - which gets a bit annoying after a while. Presumably an easy thing for the Devs to sort, also…

Not a great mobile game no option to save

Oooooomonkey on

As the title says. For a mobile game I expect the option to save anywhere for quick pick up and play sessions. Nope not here you have to play a full day for it to auto save, I played for a few mins came back and bam back to the start of the day. Unless you go through the full day cycle you lose your progress when coming back to it. Played one day in game and deleted as that’s not great for a mobile game. If a save anywhere feature gets added in an update I’d probably play it again as it looks nice.

Very playable and moving

Pyscle on

An immensely playable yet gritty, tough and above all, moving depiction of the effects of war. Choices have a psychological effect on your characters and none are immune from ethical choices and drives that are often completely absent in other games. This makes it very realistic and gives a strong insight into the vulnerability of human beings who are ultimately social creatures because choices will have a direct impact on the mood and behaviours of your party. Stunning sound design and great artwork. This is one of the most memorable games I have played in the last ten years, if not my life.
