Diagnosed with Leukemia, TR saved my life. Today I am a racing Enduro MB. Cheers TR.
I love TrainerRoad; I am currently training for the ABSA Cape Epic MTB stage race in RSA which will be held in March 2024. My only issue with it is that the AI is not taking my normal bike rides into account. This causes me sometimes to overtrain and get fatigued.
Wish you had an Apple TV app. Like the format better but my hardware more suited to zwift so may finish up switching back
Awesome app
If you want to get faster and enjoy riding your bike even more, TrainerRoad will make it possible. A small investment but HUGE returns! Thanks Nate, Jonathan, Amber, Chad and all the fabulous crew!
Nearing on 4 years of use, objective improvement in my fitness and strength. Plan Builder is a game changer. AI FTP detection and Trainnow are immense. Weekly podcast is a must listen. All my A races have yeilded results including masters National medals and taking out several big NZ masters races. It’ll make you faster (and happy).
Trainerroad is the best app I own. The reason is this: every other app wants more from me, more time, money or engagement, whereas I genuinely feel TR has my best interests in mind. They aren’t trying to entertain me, or mystery box me into spending money, there is no gamification. They are just there to make me faster.
Have been experiencing issues where devices are showing as connected via Bluetooth but not via TrainerRoad. Hoping on top of it now.
Been using TR for more than 5 years, few times a week. I’m giving it 5 stars as it does exactly what’s it promises. Few things I’m not happy with: 1. Numbers on the screen can be too small. You might need glasses to see them 2. They had excellent zoom feature in the past that you can zoom on a part of your workout. They discontinued that. It was so useful for focusing on parts of the workout, especially when you do 2h session. I’m to this day annoyed they removed that feature. 3. Devices are not always picked up. I have to regularly open Wahoo app, connect to kickr and then TR senses the Kickr. 4. It occasionally , maybe once a week havea hiccup where powers shoots up to twice your FTP or higher and you have to stall. It only lasts 2-3 seconds but if you’re in the middle of high intensity interval, you can’t really restart easily. Although it’s rare, it’s disruptive when it happens. What I like is 1. Search through workouts has improved immensely. It used to be quite poor. 2. It allows me to create my own sessions when I needed them. 3. Plans. I did so many plans. Brillaient. Despite other apps on the market that do virtual bunch riding, etc, this is the best app for structural training.
