Not for beginners.

Upwork is now not a good option for beginning your freelance career. They need you to spend money for everything from setting your status available to apply jobs.

Unfair connect charge

Upwork is becoming greedier day by day. Now they have reached the point where they are even charging connects for proposals invited by the client themselves! This is pathetic and not at all a freelancer-friendly platform. They must reconsider their decisions, as freelancers are now very concerned with their new irrelevant terms and policies. I hope Upwork can understand what a freelancer is going through

Not Freelancer friendly

Upwork used to be a good platform but because of many recent changes done to increase their revenue they have become anti-freelancers. Exorbitant connects to bid for the projects, lot of bogus projects have now become a synonym of this platform. If they don’t understand freelancers pain points then days are not far when bots will publish the projects and bots will only apply to those projects and entire company’s revenue will tank.

SCAMMING FREELANCER WITH CONNECTS

Frustrated

I have submitted me ID propf soo many times …. still it always shows not approved ….. apply now button is grayed out

I takes ages to verify email and still doesn’t verify

Too much platform cost

Fees of the platform is too much and charging a lot for sending proposals

Capricious and insane

This platform is capricious and insane. If you dedicate yourself to it, build a reputation on it, and spend your effort catering painstakingly to every client. They will still block you at a random whim. A link to a profile I was sharing for months was suddenly flagged as a way of being able to contact me and my account was blocked. They froze 1000s of $ in assets and removed my account. Do not trust this app with your livelihood!

Need improvements in application

I do freelancing work for last few years and the application works smoothly and I things are managed properly but there are few things where it needs improvements:- - Notify on new job posts under a specific filter set for job post. - Add UPI method for payments. - Add button to go to top after scrolling multiple posts or you can add this within search icon like when you click it, you reach to the top of your screen. I hope implementation will not be a big deal and at the end app features will be enhanced. Thank you
