Yes, Wallet is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.

It’s a good app, but i think we need more widgets like budget or expense, so we can see quickly in the home screen the expenses.
After an online search for checkbook type apps compatible with Apple watch, this app was suggested. I downloaded it and paid for a life-time subscription … only to learn afterwards it IS NOT compatible with Apple watch! To top that annoyance off, it also doesn’t appear to have any back-up option using icloud or at all👎
Everything is just fine.
I can't change my currency when I travel to another country , Its really frustrating
🤞🏽
Why can’t I add/delete categories and subcategories? All I can is to hide category/subcategory and add subcategory for already existing subcategory
I am not sure if the premium version has the features I am discussing below, I am on the free version. I downloaded this because I read a) I could upload bank statements if my bank didn’t link and one of my accounts is Cash App, which never does (side note: I don’t think this app uses Plaid, which gave me hope but whatever linking platform it uses also doesn’t accept it) and b) that I could track investments. Robinhood connected (after four attempts) but my investments didn’t show. I had to manually input each stock, the quantity I own, and current price to track them. It also doesn’t track any crypto you hold. So I can’t track my crypto holdings, it doesn’t automatically sync my stock investments (just the current prices multiplied by what I own, not if I buy or sell-that’s also manual), can’t track my usage of anything on Cash App. Also, you can set bills as “planned payments” but can’t pay partially on them/set money aside out of your account (on paper) for them. If I pay a bill in the transaction record, it doesn’t mark it in “planned payments”, even if you’ve set the payee as a “rule”. You have to go into the planned payments portion of the app and do it from there. You also can’t pay a partially amount; it either marks it paid or not paid, after which you cannot edit the bill for that month. Also…you can’t split categories for expenses. Spend $100 at the grocery store, $50 for groceries and $50 on pet food? Can only choose one category. BeeWallet doesn’t have as nice of a user interface but it has bill tracking and the ability to split categories and that’s the app I ended up sticking with. It gives all the same metrics (maybe more). If you don’t have a lot of bills (which I’m sure you do if you’re downloading a tracking app), care about investments or crypto, don’t have a cash app and never buy things in different categories at once, this is the app for you.
Bank accounts fall out of synchronization often, reconnecting fails, I tried everything. Adding a member to a group to have shared access doesn’t work. Contacted support on both issues, still aren’t resolved. I regret the annual subscription, Apple doesn’t refund it after 2 months.
I really don’t understand why all these budgeting apps make “syncing financial institution” accounts a premium. I bought the lifetime membership for this app today just to sync my financial accounts; my main accounts all fail to connect or sync data. I’d love a refund because I think the Wallet app has potential; but a big advertising point is its ability to pull financial data from your banking institutions. Huge bummer.
