I've been using this since the start of 2019 and it works pretty good but it sometimes lags while on dark mode and doesn't show anything, please fix it It's a really app otherwise :)
Too much commercialised
I have been using the wattpad app for almost 10 years now and I had been here since there were no ads, no paid stories and now offline reading lists? i mean, seriously? I miss the times when wattpad was made for undiscovered writers and readers who want to read from them yet don’t have the access to pay for such stories. I understand the concept of giving back to the writers for their hard work, so I was fine till the ads and the paid stories, but now I cannot read stories offline? What is the point then? And when the ads complete, they suggest to download Wattpad premium which refuses to close no matter how many times I tap on the tiny cross. It just doesn’t go. It’s like it is forcing me to buy the premium.
Different than the past
In the old wattpad we could write and read offline, No advertisements and no paid membership but now.....
What has happened to wattpad
This was the best app, I used to spend all day everyday reading writing commenting, voting ,exploring even when offline and there were no ads at all. It was a clean platform and it has been corrupted. I still use this app and I like it but the changes have changed my perception and developed a negative perception towards it .
New Features are too much!!!
I want old wattpad back.People who can’t afford to pay to buy books in other platforms seek out wattpad but now we have to pay and we even can’t have enough book in our offline reading list. So, until wattpad decides to be back to its previous self I’m leaving this platform. If no change to previous features then goodbye wattpad forever! Btw, thank you for all those years of being helpful to us.
