Looses connection consistently and never connects easier using either provided method. Will not buy again. App is not helpful. Also looses connectivity with Apple HomeKit often.
WeMo team! Can you not read some of these reviews? Unbelievable.
Hi, trying to reset my switch that has been in my house for a year (bought in 2017) it now has the “firmware update” blocked out and untouchable, while all my other apps are telling me to UPDATE the app. Please, update asap this is infuriating and will not be buying anymore “Wemo” products- clearly do not care about long term.
Many small things bugs, auto-off features stopped working, not able to connect to light switches is a common thing, looks like the product is at EOL.
Recent update causes app to crash when trying to expand/view details of Wemo insight power monitoring plugs. Bug still not fixed and it has been a while.
What used to be the gold standard is now faecal matter. The app hasn’t been updated in years, Support For. Most of their devices has been discontinued, their devices don’t work with modern routers at all. (well sometimes if you turn it off and on, it’ll work for a few minutes). They changed the server so it no longer connects to most apps. kind of works with Google Home but not at all with Alexa. I think they said “Will the last person to leave please turn off the lights”, but the lights are no longer supported. So long and thanks for all the fish.
Sometimes work and DON’T. It make you sad. Garbage.
Didn’t realize the app hasn’t been updated in 3 years (at the time of this writing). Seems like Belkin has all but abandoned the product. Can’t add new switches to my account. HomeKit seems to have to no problem connecting to factory-reset switches, but I can’t update the firmware via HomeKit. I’d suggest avoiding until Belkin at least updates the app.
I can't add device!!! Come on. No point of having smart light switch if it can't be added
