NETGEAR Orbi - WiFi System App

Orbi has a good product but has many speed issues and you can’t resolve them unless you pay for support every year. Also they will not sell to you if you live in Canada and if you buy their product in the USA and bring it back to Canada they will cancel the warranty.

Junk mesh router, overpriced and does not work

Still can’t activate the option to remotely manage my router after writing to support. Does not show the devices properly and modifications are taken in account.

Long arduous set up.

Logs out weekly. Duplicates devices connected. Occasionally tells me to use the nighthawk app for my orbi device Continue to get netgear protect emails after unsubscribing.

Resetting admin password is a marathon. They will want you to buy a package if you need assistance even if it’s to reset password. Once you figure it out on your own and try to login with the new password , it will still come as incorrect login.

Im ok (I guess) with the parental controls being subscriptions based, however the app just says plan not available and won’t let me sign up. Contacted support who made me factory reset everything and reinstall the app, same result. Please fix the paywall or make parental controls included. I paid over 1000$ for my setup. Issue ongoing for years looking at the forums.

I downloaded this app and paid extra to be able to instal basic parental controls on the wifi. The apps a joke. Nothing works. Don’t waste your time with this app or trying to get any customer service.

App worked great. Was great. Haven’t used it in awhile now it requires an account to manage my own local system. What dumb idiot thought it’s a good idea to force users to create an account to manage a local hardware? There’s no point in giving Netgear your information unless you need to use their subscription services. The app just became useless. Delete.

I tried and tried to get my wifi/ internet to preform like the this a way to no dead spots so far it’s just amazing. Fast reliable speeds finally I’m getting what I paid for. Kudos to netgear.
