My podcast audio stops playing when I open another app. Not always, but sometimes. Sometimes it stops when my screen lock comes on. It’s unpredictable and requires me to restart the phone. This happens a lot. I looked it up on the internet and a lot of people seem to have this issue w Wondery.
No playlist. Need one for roadtrip. I want download on WiFi before leaving. Too confusing to explain to partner how to use Now way to see what I’ve downloaded shows and episodes just a big list I normally use Overcast, but don’t have all the shows linked. Very frustrating, if playlist are there, I can’t find them. I’m an experienced podcast listener, from the iPod days.
I HATE this app. Burns battery like crazy, lags, inexplicably doesn’t load episodes when my other podcast apps do… the only reason I have it is my favorite podcasts have moved here for reasons unknown. The free version never works but it’s always pushing the Wondery plus version. Not interested in paying for this junk app.
My app constantly logs me out or doesn’t hold my place in my episodes. Also wish it had more true crime options.
Makes a six hour drive a breeze with great podcasts.
Been a Wondery customer since 2021. I enjoy many of the pods that Wondery has on their app. However, the app is so unbelievably unusable I listen to many of the Wondery pods on other platforms and just skip through the ads. Cancelled. Do better Wondery app!!!!!
I really wish there was a “play next” option so that you could queue podcasts to play.

Love the podcast when I could get on constantly sent me back to the free trail page after I already had a subscription. Could only access podcast approximately a third of the time.
Content is great if you could actually access it. Downloaded the app and started a free trial and after two days I’m done. Main issues: - App doesn’t remember where you are in an episode so you have to play a game of search to figure out where you are. - often requires manually pressing play when one episode ends and you want to hear the next one. - more often than not the episode just won’t load at all. - if you aren’t connected to WiFi then best of luck listening to anything at all.
