“Operation failed” issue preventing use of local storage
Issue widely covered on forums. No response from Wyze. Don’t buy unless you want the premium cloud storage.
My biggest mistake
Time stamp isn’t registering correctly on cameras. Despite my numerous tickets, no fix was made and no reply either. It’s been for years now. Customer service is practically non-existent. Considering that the products are from China, perhaps the purpose of the whole company is just information gathering rather than providing genuine service.
The app is junk but camerasare nice
Streaming is very unstable. Regularly freezes with the time stamp still running. Playback is very poor. An ad pops in on the button for your camera so you accidentally press it the whole time The rare times it works it works well. Paid for cam+ but doesn’t help in terms of streaming stability or anything just more events you can barely get to play.
Most recent update
After the most recent update app no longer works correctly have lost notifications on some cameras and others don’t seem to pick up on events as quickly anymore. Pity it was working really well.
Won’t scan any QR codes
Not able to scan any of the QR codes 2 different wyze cam v3
Decent solution with some flaws
Only recently purchased. Decent enough camera but software needs improvement. Video playback is really clunky. Difficult to pause/stop playback at the spot you want to due to delay in controls appearing on screen. Way too many alerts despite zoning the camera & reducing sensitivity.
Cameras and Motion detectors

Love all of the Wyze products. The camera is excellent and would highly recommend.
Waste of money
Don’t waste your money with this garbage, I’m partially disabled and my wife got these surveillance cameras (3 and a door bell camera) to help me so I didn’t have to check the mailbox or doorbell for nothing, but with these cameras almost every time I have to check out something with them they are offline and rebooting and a lot of times I have to power them off and then restart them so they are actually No Help at all. I also wasted money on the memory cards that only worked for a little while and now the cameras don’t recognize them ! Garbage!
