This app is so bad it’s actually put me off using the product I bought, and has made it practically dysfunctional. The fact that I even needed to download an app and give it all of my information for such a simple product (a WiFi extender) is nonsensical. Firstly, your product literally says on the back to “follow the instructions in the app” - there are no instructions, and the functionality makes no sense whatsoever. I’m a technical person and even so, it was totally unclear what step to do what and how to simply setup and activate this device in the correct room. The product is incredibly simple, and warrants a basic plug-in-and-go type of setup. It does not need this app with a sign up, enabling all the critical notifications, tracking, location, and all other data. You’re focusing on the wrong thing (user experience is imperative) and after this experience, I will gladly avoid purchasing any of your products ever again.

If you add more than 3 routers to this app, you can’t read the titles of the mesh routers. The more you add the tinier the text becomes. I do wonder sometimes whether developers use their own products! The Biggest problem, however, is that the app does not display the correct network map. It shows all mesh routers as connected to the mothership in a straight line where as in fact at least one of my routers is connected as a sub net of another mesh router. It’s absolutely basic stuff, that Xiaomi should have mastered by now. It’s also worth pointing out that as a mesh system, the AX300 is hopeless; as you move through your house you are not handed off to the next nearest mesh node.

Created a complex automation: finally got my lamp to do what it did 3 years ago. Selected run on ‘official working days’ (whatever that means, it stopped in the middle of the week). When I try to change it to custom (Mon-Fri) the change won’t stick.

Bought a few temperature / humidity sensors, connected a couple and updated firmware. Current data is shown correctly, however one device shows bogus historical data from the last two days despite only just being powered on, and after an hour, the first historical data point on the other device seems suspect. With my planned use I won’t need the app, but the invalid history raises a number of questions and concerns.

App and company is a bit of rubbish. You get the cctv works with an app, where you have a number of options. You pay subscription to get premium or you can go without to have a short clips to view in case you will receive notification. Then you will receive notification(which is extremely late) and because of you use your mobile data MI Home app will not the show you the clip, because you’re on mobile data and there isn’t any option to change this. When you’re on wifi and you click on notification it won’t play the clip either it will take you to the live video and will give you pop up reminder to pay subscription to get 90 days premium. One way or another it seems comrades have sold us a dream which only works certain time then they try to push you to the wall and charge you for subscription which is the most expensive one on the market and it didn’t work as you would expect to due to super slow notification and problems while you on mobile data as there is no option to change the settings in case like you have unlimited data or so. Another problem is that I had an issue with the subscription where I found extremely bad customer service, pretending to be UK based customer service which is not, is based in China and they deal with issues like a very badly programmed bots. Such a shame when this device looked so promising

Super slow app, takes ages to show the temperature and humidity. Pointless to have this app as the climate information takes ages to load in the app.

Old version was much better - yes, it looke less cool, but it had more data. Now there's no mor Filter Status - percentage and days remaining
