FORMATS
Yomu supports standard ebooks without digital rights management.
Choose any of over thousand freely available ebooks from publishers like Feedbooks, Manybooks or Project Gutenberg. Download ebooks directly from your browser, copy files from other apps or add them with AirDrop. Import files with iCloud Drive, iTunes File Sharing, or from Dropbox, Google Drive, OPDS and Calibre.
READER
The reader's design is carefully crafted for ebooks and offers custom styles for better readability.
Choose your favorite theme, reader mode (day, sepia, night, black), select a preset or custom font size, content layout (page, scroll) and many more options. All settings can be saved as your personal default for each book.
Swipe or tap to go to the next page. You can also use the book's content outline or table of contents to navigate to another chapter.
While reading EPub, Mobi and Kindle books, select text to take notes or highlight favorite sections. Create bookmarks or search inside ebooks to quickly find anything you are looking for.
LIBRARY
Organise your books in an easy to use library.
Manage your library by creating folders or tags to organize your books. Sort your collection either by title, author or drag and drop for a custom order.
You can edit a document's title, author, summary, cover or any other meta data. Save or export your books with all information and annotations in text, markdown or json format.
CLOUD
Yomu's Cloud Library (pro only) stores your books and annotations securely in Apple's iCloud.
Keep all your ebooks safe and at hand on whatever device. Every time you change something on one device, it's synced to all your other devices. Always have the latest version, when you start reading on your iPad and continue on your iPhone on the go.

See your recently read books or highlighted quotes.
Yomu includes widgets to quickly view and open your books and quotes. Add a widget from the gallery and choose a list from the options. Tap on an entry to continue reading where you left off.

Yomu is free to use and includes all basic features.
Every ebook format, theme or setting is available and lets you try out the unrestricted reader. However, the free version has some limitations and does not include certain features.
Upgrade to Yomu Pro to get:

I was looking for a replacement for Marvin - a much beloved app that is no more - and found Yomu already downloaded but untested on my devices. It’s simple, it allows me to read my own books easily and it does what I need.
The only downside so far is that the options links are in tiny grey print so they would be hard to read if you had eyesight issues. Apart from that I’m impressed by everything else.
Yomu now saves your custom reader settings between books which is great.
And I LOVE that it’s a one off payment and not a subscription model and it supports heaps of different formats - and Yomu is way better than the competition.
Also yomu means ‘to read’ in Japanese which I also find cool. :)

Suggestion: Global Preferences
This app is a great ebook reader. It is very stable, and I use it on a daily basis. However, for each ebook, I have to go through preferences and apply the same set of preferable options of my choice for every single book. Therefore, I suggest adding an option where users can apply global preferences like font, layout and other settings that can be applied to all of the ebooks. And then the current preferences to be used as an additional one where a user can overwrite the global ones for their individual ebooks of their choice.

Excellent book reading app with more features than the Apple Books app
The new annotations widget is great! Exactly what I’ve been after to re-encounter my annotations I’ve made in the past. A suggestion to improve the widgets in a future release. Allow customisation of how much time each quote is present for before changing e.g. 5, 10,15, 60 minutes. That and maybe interactive gesture allowing you to move through multiple annotationsby tapping on the right side to progress through a carousel.

A great ebook reader
This is a great app. Simple and effective. Loads books easily (I wanted local storage - off a range of cloud sources I had) and it just works.
Update required for new iOS update :(
I love this app but the latest iOS update has broken it, please update! Worth 5-stars normally for sure.
Great App - with a few quirks
First up, this app has been great with most of the features I'm after.
Vertical scrolling - most important.
iCloud sync across devices - you bet.
But there are a few things I'd love to see that I'd think aren't huge updates to make.
1. I can't see ANYTHING listed in my icloud account. No folder labelled 'Yomu' in my iCloud Drive. Would love to manage my files in my browser rather than the Yomu app. Add books. Remove books. Bulk add. No info about this is FAQ
2. On the Mac version, the 'Cover' layout has such small covers - and you can't change the size! Hard to read the titles and info on the covers, but this is the view I like. Not so bad on iPad (tho would also like to be able to adjust the sizing there), but on Mac - soo tiny! List and Grid at least show titles - but everything is still smaller than I'd like.
3. The book/title fonts are really small. The progression info is great - but I can hardly see it on Mac OR iPad. Should be able to see this easily at a glance. Maybe different colour font than grey if size can't be altered? I can adjust the fonts of the book itself, but I can't adjust the display sizes for the cover and the titles? This should be updated.
So... function is great. Compatability with different file types and different devices is great. Sync is great.
Just some design/UI needs some more work.
