Happy but… no Temporarily AutoLock Option
I am happy with this smart lock, I just wish August would include an option to temporarily disable auto-lock for when you are doing some home work outside.

Generally a good app if you only own one August lock, but I’m very disappointed with how it handles adding additional locks in the same household. For example I added a second lock to my house, and I can’t grant access to that lock for existing users. I have to delete each user and re-add them before I can see the new lock under their profiles. Also when editing codes for a user, it acts like it expects me to be within Bluetooth range of all of my locks at the same time while saving the new settings, which is results in timeouts and warnings while trying to save. When you invite a new user, they get separate text messages for each lock, and they have to set the PIN on each lock separately. I have one original August lock and several new Yale Assure 2 Touch locks with fingerprint readers. Please improve the multi-lock experience for five stars.
I’ve been please with all of my August Locks in managing my properties however my biggest problem is difficulty setting temporary guest lists when i’m in a different time zone. When I'm in PST and trying to give lock access in CST, i have to make sure I put it two hr’s back. There should be a way to set your time zone without having to do this extra step which is extremely annoying. Additionally, there should be a way to edit the temporary time frame of an guest invite sent (incase it was done wrong the first time). Right now, i have to wait for my guest to make an account and then adjust it. By that time, the task is far from my mind and becomes one more annoying thing to do.

We love using August and Yale to secure our homes and rentals, Thankyou for providing such a great service.
The most recent release seems to break all internet based functionality. App constantly reports “Error. Request Failed. Bad Gateway” or “Unable to Authenticate” and constantly crashes. This used to be a great product. Then with one stupid, untested, update they destroyed all the functionality. Be warned…
Been trying to get setup but nothing works. All I get are error messages.
The lock just stopped working well after around 1 year of use. Now the lock is just not able to lock and we are throwing it in the garbage
After following the August Home instructions to add a second home at the time of device setup, I added a lock to my fathers home as access for caretakers is critical. While adding the lock the App provided the option to add to my existing home or to add a new home. I chose the add new home option, named it “dads house” and then finished the process. The app then proceeded to not only wipe out the current users on my home, but then never provided access to “dads house” in my keychain. I attempted to add the device again, but now regardless of the the home I select the device will not appear much less the location “dads house”. This is a critical flaw with the application as the lock has now become unrecoverable and can no be used!!
