Only allows to verify a US phone number. Why does it even require a phone number? It should use email
I want to use this app on the door to a US address. Unfortunately, I am from the UK and have a UK mobile phone. However, I can’t enter a +44 prefix to the number, therefore I can’t receive an SMS verification code in order to set up an account!!!
Widget is no longer available which is super annoying. It used to be so easy to unlock via the widget. Such a simple feature and still not made a return to iOS. Battery status and notifications not working. Locked myself out a couple times now after batteries seem to be draining. Already planning to change to a different lock the second another issue pops up with it. Disappointing as I’ve been using August for 6-7 years and it used to be the best on the market. Sadly not anymore.
What am I supposed to do with your lock now if you suddenly stopped supporting other countries. Is this a joke? I am sure there is thousands of your customers who purchased that lock outside US and it always worked for the past years. Now you changed your mind? Do I just throw it out now like nothing happened?
I’ve been using the August Lock with our Airbnb holiday rentals business for several years now. For the past two weeks our non-US guests have been complaining that they have not been able to register with the app in order to use the lock and access our rental properties. After contacting August support they have confirmed that use of the app by non-US guests is no longer possible. This effectively renders August locks useless for anyone (inside or outside of the US) running a holiday rentals business. We received no warning about this change which was disappointing, but stranger still is the large chunk of market share for which August locks will no longer be suitable.
I can’t create an account because I don’t have a US number. The link to Connect to Airbnb is broken. Completely useless! How do you not at least perform some basic quality assurance before shipping this trash?
Can only create an account if you have a +1 number. My building in Australia uses this system. How?! Defaulting back to keys
Lots of bugs - couldn’t even register because the country code list drop down doesn’t work
