BluOS Controller

The app is great, but it won’t allow the volume to be turned down low. The volume level is too high if you want to chat with background music on. If this could be sorted out I would give five stars.

Have had it for two weeks and just doesn’t work . Issues to numerous to list. AV guy have spent a week trying to make it work. But still not stable at all.

Ive just updated the iOS app and what a load of rubbish it is now it just says can’t find what your looking for try again. Were before it worked fine had know trouble in finding songs. Works on my iPad because I didn’t update it but the iPhone no.

I have persevered with Bluos for years. It is one of those apps that every now and then drives me nuts because of how difficult it is to sort out issues when they occur. The latest is it switches from Radio Paradise to Spotify (which i have no subscription for and don’t have the app on my phone). I see online issues like this have been going on for at least 6 months. When i finally get a different player and no longer have to use Bluos i am sure my stress levels will go down

Sorry but the new version is worse than the previous. It’s not intuitive- you have to learn to press certain buttons numerous times and in certain orders. Can I connect to my nad ….through Bluetooth ? no fail 70 percent of the time. There is a discrete set routine of settings for this to work and ultimately BluOS has to be set right each time . Try Bluetooth to play YouTube music and it fails. It works very well if you have a nas library and a wired network cable and I love it for this. But play music via Bluetooth is a pain I would not wish on anyone.

The sound I got from Bluesound hardware was excellent, but the software is rubbish. I made 5 attempts, (4 wireless 1 wired) to index tracks on my NAS. A task that the superb MusicStreamer app from Stratospherix handles with ease. BluOS has failed on every occasion. In context, I have a Sonos Arc, a Mac Mini, a Roku stick, a Samsung TV and an iPad in the same location as the BlueSound Powernode, and all of them handle wireless streaming without any problems. It is shocking that £800 hardware should have such poor software. When I checked on-line, all Bluesound do is make pathetic excuses such as users files being corrupt or the PowerNode not being close enough to the router! As a result I felt conned and returned the PowerNode to RicherSounds, who very helpfully agreed to let me part ex it for Sonos Amp. In contrast the performance of the Sonos and its app has been flawless.

I have a naim nd5 xs2 and node, the app for the node is nowhere near as user friendly or responsive, it also hangs/doesnt respond regularly!

2 faults: 1. Auto source recognition doesn’t work. (Although it occasionally does…) 2. While listening to an album, I cannot search my next desired artist/music - I have to shut down and restart the app for it to commence searching.

Very unreliable platform. Doesn’t always pull through my downloaded music from my Tidal app and have continually log in to Tidal on the Bluesound app (never used to do that!). When it’s working properly it’s good. Agitates too much! Love my Bluesound Pulse 2 though…rocks!

It was good at first, don’t get me wrong, but half of the time it doesn’t work full stop. It is so inconsistent and whenever I attempt to log back into tidal it says ‘authorisation failed’. Annoying because it’s the only thing that works for my speakers. Has some serious bug issues.
