Truly wonderful people working for Etihad at all levels but I can't believe how bad their booking system is and trying to make a claim for what I believe was system error that cost me £800 is turning out to be an absolute nightmare. I know for sure the following cannot possibly be true but it feels like I am dealing with an incompetent organisation stuck with systems vexatiously designed to frustrate their customers. Having been going round and round in circles I now plan to send details of my claim, they keep calling it feedback for some reason, to their legal department as I am quite willing to take them to court should this become necessary. Once again, I repeat, my wife and I found all Etihad staff, at the airports, on the flights, and when talking with them on the phone to be truly wonderful, I feel so sorry for them having to work with such bad systems.

Firstly it said we had already checked in then only checked one of us in, now won’t let us view boarding passes or change seats, just a spinning brown circle, what a waste of time

Can’t log in and pay for upgrade using miles Scan app for passport does not function. For each inbound and outbound I have to enter passport details. Why can it not save. Every flight there are new errors

We had to cancel our Emirates flight due to the weather, but we’re able to quickly re-book on Etihad. The flight was very comfortable, food very good and all of the cabin crew polite and professional. We would highly recommend this airline.

You can’t add a trip it doesn’t work, pages never load, when you try to retrieve a booking it shows error data in retrieving info, and their website is even worse if you try to do anything.

Cannot even properly see the booking

This is a piece of junk. Added three bookings for the same family on the same flight. Did not merge them. Have to go through checkin three times and not sat together. Check in forces a request for a non specific visa although I don’t need one for transit in Abu Dabi nor my destination. As I don’t have a visa as I don’t need one, I can’t proceed through online checkin. Frequent crash and exit of app. Pages hang with blanks. Repeated requests for booking references despite having already entered them in the system. Date fields have to have the / typed. Ultimately can’t do anything with the app. Total waste of time and total piece of junk.

The app is very good nice and slick booking seats was done in seconds. Etihad has become a good airline if not a tad more expensive than most others in the region.

Latest app release still hasn’t addressed the repeated login requirements when moving from browsing to booking flights and the Turn On biometric sign in every time you log in. Also, the ability to see how many more miles required for tier advancement has been removed.

Even after booking the tickets seven months before the travel; checkin is only allowed but seat selection is still chargeable. Crazy way of melting money from passengers. Why are we buying tickets, should we stand and travel for the whole long haul journey?
