The app matches the experience with the airline. This airline is awful and do not care about it’s passengers nor staff. They changed the flight on us 4x in a row (!!!) and the phone staff simply read from a script at you without actually helping. After yet another change, they are leaving us stranded in Abu Dhabi. They did not even offer to give us extra leg room or compensate for the hotel. This goes against multiple international customer service laws !! Do not fly with Etihad unless you want to be ignored, stranded and treated like cattle whilst paying premium prices. Not the standard I would ever expect from an airline like this!!

The app is extremely slow and lags a lot

Options are hard to find, multiple sign ins required to reach menus from in app, until recently certain menus regarding changing to special meals were really hard to find, meaning I was unable to obtain my correct meal in-flight Near impossible to talk to anyone on chat. Even when you finally do, short queries can take up to or even over an hour to deal with. Even with Gold guest status and the options indicating there is no charge for a seat change it is taking me to a payment page. Just absolutely awful to use and difficult to get anything done. Points management requires an entirely different app. Etihad have become an absolute nightmare to fly with since COVID. Try to avoid unless you really have no other option.

You could previously book stopover in Abu Dhabi as part of your main ticket booking so you could increase your stopover time to a few days and get better deals on tickets. Now it’s no longer possible to do so easily and you get higher ticket prices as a result.

I bought a basic ticket and then had to get extra luggage as it was not on basic ticket 23 kg . So I bought the extra luggage online which was £56. Ticket was not issued and so I called and they had cancelled my extra luggage and that I need to go pay at the airport . The agent reassured me that it was going to be the same price as I had bought a ticket , I recorded the conversation , turned up and they tried to charge me £700 for a 23kg. So my daughter left with no clothes at all. Then they rebooked her ticket with a completely different longer route . She’s 18 and she had the worst experienced ever .

Guys, Never ever book a ticket from ethihad airways especially mutiple city. They have got so many classification in economy but no point there details are not displayed You will end up in a big trap regarding the baggage
