Raivo Authenticator

I read reports of many people losing tokens when upgrading after Raivo got bought out by Mobime. I intentionally didn’t upgrade and me my older version. But I accidentally updated tonight to 110.8. Even though I as using iCloud as my sync provider in Raivo, I lost tokens. If I didn’t have a very recent backup and didn’t also use other OTP apps, that could have been disastrous. Do NOT use this as your primary OTP app. However, it does produce nice readable exports that look pretty with logos and QR codes. For that reason, I just use Raivo as a secondary OTP app. I scan the QR codes with my two primary OTP apps and also with Raivo when setting up 2FA. Then I periodically use Raivo to export my OTP codes in a format that would be easy to use in a disaster.

I love it. Update wiped all my tokens but luckily I had the QR backup. DO THE BACKUP somehow or you could get screwed on an update.

Encrypted, allows encrypted export, syncs with icloud. Perfect.

It seems this app was bought out by a company that has no idea what they are doing. I logged in one day only to find all my data was gone. Apparently, I’m not alone, as plenty of others have reported the same issue on Reddit and other places. Don’t waste time with these morons. Go install the far superior 2FAS Auth instead.

Updated app. Everything was deleted. Do not use. Lost access to accounts. Still recovering from this nonsense.

New devs pushed update that caused me to lose all otps, on top of hiding features behind a paywall with no warning. Do not spend time/money on this app with sketchy practices and sloppy development.

Also reported the fake 5 star reviews as well as the app. Luckily, Apple takes that seriously and will likely eventually remove this app from the AppStore for going against ToS with fake reviews.

Lost all my 2FA after being purchased. Steer clear

It’s nice.

Stay away from this app. Thousands of users have already been burned by this app.
