RideControl App

Used the app to log into the e-bike for more information for a few months. Then there was an update and before you can use the app, Giant wants your name and phone number! Tried a false name and number but you have to confirm the number. There’s no way in hell they’re getting my personal details just so I can change settings on my bike!

I don’t know whats going on with this company but was using the app, went to an upgrade now it won’t even load. Tried the usual install/uninstall etc. Only way you can communicate with your bike and it doesn’t work. Bit of a worry going forward for Giant Bikes. Sort it out..!!

Doesn’t work. Not what I wanted when bought bikes. Do not want any I.D. that I have to give any info and have adds.

I can’t seem to sign in to the new version of the app. Needs fixing and possibly a new update.. hope this gets rectified soon Giant.

After being forced to update, there is no longer a bluetooth icon on the bike screen, so you don’t know if the app is still connected when riding. The app no longer identifies the bike, ‘model’ and ‘model year’ details are blank. The app no longer connects to the bike automatically, you have to go and find the ‘connect’ button. Not impressed so far, I hope there is another update coming soon.

Hi. I love Giant bikes. As a Software Engineer I’m really disappointed at your software look at the rating. In the web everyone is complaining as well. Hire me. I’d love to turn this around for you and make this a loved app.

Update required, otherwise unable to connect to the ebikes control module. Once the phone was updated the control module then had to be updated but after several attempts (get through to the beginning of update, indicating 0% then sits at 0 foot however long you’ve got!). Fix it please or stop faffing with the thing.

After updating to this version the time of charging the battery is extremely slow! Come on Giant, we paid a lit for these bikes, get your $hit together!! 🤬🤬

Tried to update ride control module on my Quick-E bike. I don’t know how many hours it takes for the first of three updates to download but Im not going to leave my phone with my bike all day to find out. Still stuck on ‘preparing’. Tried deleting and reinstalling app and bike battery. No change. This app is just rubbish

Had my Giant Reign E 3 years and the app connects with zero problems. Updates are easy. Data retrieval easy. Power settings easy …. Everytime!!! Great app, great bike, great yamaha motor.
