App keeps logging me out

It’s frustrating that it keeps logging me out and I have to keep logging back in to use the app

But why does it need updating every week? Also, it takes a while to show new bookings. It’s generally a bit slow.

Great for small studios

I have been using Acuity “Growing Business” for my boutique Pilates studio. It’s find it covers most of my needs and once clients get used to it they find it quite easy to use. As admin I find it pretty great but there are a couple things that would make it fantastic but these don’t seem to be on the horizon. For instance when packages bought, it would be useful for better emails when they are using the last one in the package bought. And waitlist for classes would also be great. These are the only things that would make me move elsewhere. Otherwise this is prob the best scheduling system on the market.

Update after update… still freezes and slow.

Edit April 24: the amount of updates that the app needs is extremely irritating. The issues have been evident since squarespace took over. Main issue is the app can be VERY UNRESPONSIVE. I’ve contacted directly but never reach a solution as the app needs fixing properly. You try and book a client in who is stood in front of you, or to check their booking history and you have to apologise due to the app not working and not responding. For my biz type I sometimes need quick answers to who’s booked in. Frustrating with the amount we pay. App freezes and lags and becomes unresponsive. They persistently release updates, but it's frustrating as improvements seem elusive. Their emphasis on revamping branding overshadows crucial enhancements in app efficiency and usability. I wrote a review previously saying: App used to be great but over the past 2 months it’s become slower and slower. Now it freezes a lot. Just deleted and downloaded again and issue persists.

Problems applying certificates

In the latest version, released today, certificates attached to clients aren’t showing when you go to edit an appointment.

Not impressed at all

It keeps logging out and asking me to log in again. When I log in again, it keeps showing all calendars/practitioners and I have to untick the others. Does not allow to change and edit the appointment in the same function. Also, If I open a time slot, why can’t I either block it or book it on the same function? I am using Cliniko in another practice and it’s soooo much easier and user friendly, even if they don’t have an app. Their web version is perfect even on phones. Why don’t you go back to the basics of business development and see what competition does and possibly copy what they do well and improve what they don’t? Please have your app tested with people who have never used it before, check how they work with it and listen to their feed-back. Thank you

Good but not good enough for a paid app

Acuity is a great scheduling solution. However, it’s limited for a paid app. For example, I want to be able to see my week at a glance and not have to scroll through each day individually. Just reading through the reviews and seeing that requests like these have been made years ago and not addressed doesn’t leave me much hope that it will improve soon. I can’t see myself paying for this app for long if there are free scheduling tools with better functionality.

The app used to be great as did customer service The app is now glitchy You can no longer shake your phone to report a bug. We are a large business and apparently as we have multiple calendars you can’t see any appointments past 7.30pm as it glitches. Told to not view all calendars on app - not helpful Customer service is literally non existent and enterprise team clearly don’t want the business . Was so so good - it is a real shame

Getting worse

Used to be a good app with support but since squarespace acquired it, they have made changes which have made it more unreliable often you cannot even access the account and the customer support team are very cold and clearly don’t care for keeping you as a client. I would not recommend, find something else.

We’ve been using Acuity since 2017 to accept bookings primarily for our mobile bike maintenance service and then when we got a premises. It works well for a premises but has a few restrictions for working as for the mobile service. As much as we now work on an appointment only basis it certainly controls the inflow of work and allows us to cheery pick what walks in and also to a customer psychology as they can see we’re fully booked thus creating extra work/stress for us on that day. The limitations for the mobile service are limited that we require a deposit when making a booking to come to your house to carry out the work. Stripe colluded too much with our accounting procedure and we then had to have another account just for this rather than having the deposit straight into our main account. This created a different set of problems at the end of each quarter, customer details were getting a bit scrambled together due to the account issue, as some were choosing to pay a bit more than others then we had to send different invoices amount out due to this. We dangerously dropped the deposit taking from the whole business. This allowed a greater influx of bookings which seemed counter intuitive but it worked. We get the odd ‘no-show’ every now and again, it’s quite rare but it happened regardless of whatever industry you’re in and we turn more money. Acuity adds a new realm of choice to our customers. For a business our size it’s at least 65-70% of the total turnover of work we do so it’s vital for us.
