Ahead: Emotions Coach

I got lured to test it and I had to pay the whole year. Then I tried the app (yes my mistake). It’s really annoying and it isn’t really much more than somone has googled a LOT and made quizzes from psych central articles. This isn’t therapy, it’s just guided psychoeducation in a very condenscending and expensive form.

The app keeps crashing several times every day. Shuts down unexpectedly. Also it is very frustrating that the selection buttons do not scale to fit my screen (iPhone SE 2020). I can’t see all the alternatives to a question asked from me. So it’s pretty much useless. I asked for a refund from Apple but for some reason they denied it. So you better fix this and make it work on iPhone SE 2020. OSX 18.1.1.

After trying this out for a week, it seems like this app has really good potential, when it comes to overcoming your inner difficulties!

I really like the idea of this app and was curious to try it. Definitely worth a try! This works best for someone who hasn’t had professional help or the right help to explore their self, their thought and behaviour patterns. For me personally, I noticed that I’m already aware of many things that the app will ask you about. I feel like I’ve already digged deeper with the help of therapy. I expected to learn more about feelings/emotions but this is more like a tool for someone who maybe wants therapy but can’t afford it. I also got a bit annoyed with the repetition and filling in words. It gave a feeling of an mandatory online course that you just want to get over with. Maybe a fact box/learn more button that opens more info if you want to read more, could tone down this effect? I also have no idea why the voice that read the texts sounded robotic and was reading english text in a swedish accent. An actual gentle and kind human voice would have been nice here!
