I’ve travelled to over 40 countries with dozens of airlines and this is easily the airline worst/app website booking process I’ve ever come across. The website constantly crashes, airport names can’t be found, prices change on a whim and there are lots of dark UX patterns to get you to pay more than you need to. It’s a disgrace to user experience and customer service. I urge you to book with another airline if possible.

Absolutely unusable. Why do I need to create an account on the app when all I want to do is retrieve my booking information using a booking code? Plus, why do you need my phone number and why do you need to verify my phone number just to create an account? I’m abroad and don’t have access to my phone number. All I want to do is manage my account using the airline booking reference that you gave me. This is what every other airline allows you to do. How can this app be so absolutely dysfunctional and useless? Who designed this? Who signed this off? They need to be sacked immediately.

Can’t sign in without putting my parents details and passport number, which should only be needed if under 18. I’m 30 but they don’t have another option to say that!!

This useless app will not let you load information?!

Having used Air Asia for the first time on a trip to Vietnam I was expecting a smooth check in experience using the app - the reality could not be further from this. After trying for days to register on the app and getting the same dialing code issue which would not allow me to set up the app (now fixed in current last IOS update) I headed to the airport to check in as app would not allow me to register / check in. I was charged $400 in excess baggage on a $450 flight as I had not done it via the app. Unbelievably expensive mistake - avoid this company! If they can’t get their app working what else doesn’t work.

This app is terrible on so many levels that it's hard to describe. First, creating an account from an iPhone is literally impossible because you can't choose the country code for a mobile phone, which is apparently required.

What have they done. It’s terrible. Slow and painful. Can’t book a seat when you book flight can’t choose all luggage options. Have to wait for confirmation before you can add some add ons. Then you have to CHAT TO BO (ai chat) just to pick a seat. Terrible terrible upgrade. Who thought this was a good idea.

You rescheduled my flight which is due in 2weeks telling me you’ll get back to me in 30 days. That’s too late so I’m booking with another airline. Your bot failed to ask what my issue was so goodness knows what you’ll be telling me in 30days. I’m less inclined to use Air Asia again

The app simply doesn’t work. Trying to check in and getting boarding passes took forever because the app constantly crashes. Kept trying to force me to add more details to my account to then repeatedly crash as I tried to do so but wouldn’t let me do anything else on the app until I added those details

Sign up to do the check in, try to complete profile, app crashes when I enter phone number. A bit pointless.
