Alipay - Simplify Your Life

Bin jetzt seit 3 Tagen in Shanghai unterwegs und die App macht das Leben hier wirklich einfach, ist pausenlos im Einsatz. Vor allem für DiDi/ Taxi, zum bezahlen via Visa/ Alipay und scannen/ übersetzen. Alle Web-Seiten entweder in Deutsch oder ziemlich gut übersetzt. Empfehlung!

I never had any problems with my card until I attempted to link my MasterCard and Visa card to Alipay; however, I didn't understand why they couldn't be connected to my account.

Für einen kurzen Besuch in China wollte ich die App aktivieren. Trotz korrekter Durchführung aller Schritte konnte die Aktivierung nicht abgeschlossen werden. Alle benötigten Daten habe ich eingegeben bzw eingescannt Auch die Hotline konnte mir nicht weiterhelfen und gab nur die gleichen Anweisungen, die ich bereits befolgt hatte. Nach 5 Tagen habe ich aufgegeben und die App gelöscht, da es keinen Sinn machte, sich ständig mit der Hotline auseinanderzusetzen. Anmeldeprozess war für mich äußerst frustrierend. Finde ich ein wenig schade da ich die App selbst sehr interessant finde.

Einfach zu nutzen, erleichtert den Aufenthalt in China total. Dank des übersetzen Buttons keine Sprachkenntnisse erforderlich. Man kann endlich auch Didi (ist wie Uber, Grab) sowie die blauen Leihräder von Hallo 哈啰 nutzen sowie alles mögliche andere. Fantastisch

Sehr unübersichtlich und nicht zu nutzen

-> Installiert. -> Wollte Kreditkartendaten eingeben. Das Wort „Einsetzen“ war dabei direkt auf Chinesisch. -> Deinstalliert. Ich warte lieber noch, statt eine halbgare App aus China zu installieren. Es geht hier immerhin um eine Bezahlapp mit sensiblen Daten. So erhält man kein Vertrauen, wenn nicht mal die App oberflächlich getestet wurde.

Die Reviews von vor 5 Jahren kann man ignorieren. Seitdem hat sich nämlich sehr viel getan. Ab jetzt können bspw. auch Ausländer ihre Kreditkarte hinzufügen und mit QR Code bezahlen.

As soon as I try to do account verification needed to be able to pay with Alipay for more than 15’000 yuen or 2000€ euros the Alipay app freezes my account and the verification process is stuck forever rendering the app useless! I already lost two accounts and thus two ways to login (number and apple login) due to this issue! In Wechat I had no such issue with passport upload and account verification. In Alipay if you don’t verify you also won’t be able to use the important transport function which is crucial in China. Nobody buys physical tickets anymore. Everything is in the app. Some stations don’t even have ticketing machines anymore. Second thing I realized specifically for those living in Germany is that I tried Barclays Credit, DKB Debit and Hanseatic Credit cards and only Barclays Credit got linked to Alipay account. The other two don’t work although I confirm the approval in these banks respective apps. And I tired this both in Germany and in China and it didn’t work. So if you happen to have those credit cards just forget about it. On the other hand in WeChat Hanseatic worked with no issues. I didn’t try linking DKB Debit. In the end due to above mentioned verification and credit card linking issues I happen to use Wechat 98% of the time in China although I like Alipay layout more. Shame they didn’t fix the verification issue. Most important tip for travelers: Before you even consider going to China or booking that first plane or hotel download both WeChat and Alipay and see if you can link your credit card. If this doesn’t work you can forget about your trip altogether! Nobody uses cash in China !!! YOU MUST HAVE WECHAT OR ALIPAY ENABLED!

Bloß nicht auf die App verlassen sonst steht man plötzlich mal komplett ohne Geld da. Zwei Karten haben einfach ohne Grund nicht mehr funktioniert. Also muss man jederzeit Geld und Karten dabei haben. Dadurch hat dieses schlecht übersetzte App keine Daseinsberechtigung. Warum ist es im deutschen AppStore?
