Got cheated few times of money when I was accidently charged. Apple support denied the refund request without any valid reason. They don’t care about customers but app developers since they get a % of money. Hence there is no way to communicate with them. They make a decision and no way to raise a dispute, and no mechanism to escalate the dispute. Called support they are even worst, purposely waste time and frustrate you so you give up on trying. Wasted 2-3 hours fighting for it but then gave up. Apple has become arrogant and this is how they treat someone who spent 20-25k on various Apple products.

That charges is in Macau Mo . Stated by Apple Pay but Apple Store doesn’t have such transactions. Unbelievable.

A few years back, App Store was great : we could find apps you can try for free and if commercial, if you like it, you could buy it for a few dollars just once, and possibly after a while buy a major version update. Now App store is a wonderful platform for scammers: most of app you need right away to provide your credit card information (via App Store, not to the merchant, thanks god) and pay a monthly or annually subscription at a crazy price. I give you an example : I searched for a simple app to yrack Blood pressure and weight l, and have a graph. Basically a super simple Excel sheet. The cheapest app I have found is 40$ per year!! With others more than 100$ a year!! I don’t remember in the history of Computing to have to pay as much for a software, even once. And it is not a deskop complicated software. I wish Apple put in place some controls and rules to avoid all these scammers (it is now the big majority of apps on App Store). For example, to be able to sell at a certain price there is some check about the quality and type of applications. And put in place some safeguards like having a trial version without having to subscribe and commit your credit card. Of course you can often cancel your subscription if monthly or after a trial. But they count on the fact that a percentage of customer will forget to cancel and be charged. I think Apple is well aware of this scam but don’t act as they are taking a % of all of this scam. Conflict of interest… 2024-09 addition: Apple is making things worse and more stupid: now when you need to reset password they put a 1h delay! ONg i rrally think now to move away of all Apple products.
