Gute App aber noch Potenzial

gldlocke on

Simply Good

Great app! I love the book Atomic Habits and have benefited immensely from it. The free trial offers valuable insights into habit development. Being able to focus on one key habit without a subscription afterwards is perfectly adequate. There's no need for a paid Pro subscription. Best of all, the trial doesn't automatically convert to a paid plan when it ends. 👌🏼 However, one thing bothers me. It's five minutes past midnight, and I want to maintain my streak, which has been working well and becomes more motivating the longer it gets. Yesterday I completed everything except logging the habit on my phone. Now that it's past midnight, I can't log it for yesterday even though I did complete it. While this is a good opportunity to learn not to fixate on small things, the streak does help with motivation. Here's a suggestion to improve the app: add a 24-hour grace period where users can confirm whether they completed yesterday's habit. This way, honest streaks could be maintained even if logging is slightly delayed.

New update

I really liked the App until the new Update came out. Now you can only focus on 1 habit without paying :((

Great app if the price was fair

The app itself looks and feels great. I would probably use it for habit tracking if there wasn’t that price. Sorry, but I pay less for Amazon Prime…. and while I’m absolutely pro software not being free and people who create something of value to make money from their products, the price still has to be fair compared to what the user gets. Make it around $50 a year and most won’t complain. But even at the now reduced $80 a year that’s still double the price of what most other, also great and well-known, habit trackers cost.

UI Good/ Price…/Mac App?/Apple Watch offline/Bugs

The ui is really really good. But takes a lot of battery because it is so good. Price no comment. There isn‘t even a mac app or an Apple Watch app with widgets and offline mode. If they introduce all that I will be thinking about it

Costs 9,99€/month!

App is great but too expensive, other habit tracker are much cheaper

Fine

The app is fine. It's a nice companion to the brilliant book, but ridiculously overpriced. Some feedback: I think having that super slow logo animation every time you start the app adds more friction than necessary, kind of counteracting the "make it easy" rule. So does pausing my focus music. Please don't do that.

The app is just as helpful as the book

I read the book two years ago and loved the useful tips and exercises for building good habits and changing your identity. I was able to make big changes in my life. (Exercising daily, reading, meditating, etc.) But for the past 6 months or so, some of those habits have slipped away but now thanks to the app and the simple tracking mechanism, I'm looking forward to making even bigger and more lasting changes than ever before.

overpriced

i really like the concept of atomic habits and the work james clear has put in so far. the app succeeds in representing the book and its contents. sadly, the app is very overpriced. 129€ for one year of using an app that reminds you of your habits and throws in some life lessons is way too much. i would love to use the app if it will be available for less money, otherwise i will stick to my reminder app and read the book.
